You're going to have to narrow down the pain. It's possible that you have more than one thing going on.

that otc stuff that turns your pee easter egg yellow will head it off for awhile

What is it?

I have a number of medical issues, several which appeared after another medical thing. It took great gobs of complaining and pain over 20 years for drs to find out what it was and they weren't the first to know. I figured it out and presented my paper which they contemplated till I arrived in an ambulance nearly dead.

My point is keep trying. If you don't like the doctor fire him and get another. It's tough enough to figure out one's health problems without have to deal with a lousy doctor.

**You’re going to have to narrow down the pain.**

That’s what they keep telling me—my symptoms are too vague. I don’t have any of them until “this” starts. They get off on tangents—Have you had a physical lately? Blah, blah, blah. Ok. I had a physical and I still feel like doodoo. Pick again. It’s so frustrating. They treat me like I’m a retarded 2 year old. Hey—I’ve lived in this body for 40+ years! I know when it’s not right!

I think Kalee has pointed me in the right direction. :)

The stuff I was talking about is called AZO. I usually keep some around, but I goofed and didn’t get any more when I should have.

**till I arrived in an ambulance nearly dead**

The pain creeps up on me gradually, until I don’t notice how bad it’s gotten. I hate heat—can’t deal with it at all because I don’t sweat. Had my thyroid checked—said it’s fine. The first time I got this stuff, i did not realize how sick I was. I went out to my car at lunchtime, in the middle of July, because I was cold, literally shivering. I got in, with the windows up, and went to sleep/passed out. This is eastern NC we’re talking about! My boss came out to my car and insisted I go to the dr. He probably saved my life. :)

Fire them. NC has great medicos, you just have to find them. Treating you like that has nothing to do with you. Often there are two main reasons they treat you that way. Because they are arrogant and, two, because they don't know what it is and are either too lazy or too busy or too stymied to figure you out. Change doctors till one gets it right.

Drs are drs—some good, some bad. Kaylee reccommended a dr in greensboro. May have to try him. She also reccommended some really good sites—been checking them out. Just read on one of them to drink a bit of baking soda in a glass of water to help with the burning. It would help so much just to know that I’m not crazy!

I wouldn’t feel so bad about going to dr after dr if BCBS would actually do what I pay them a hefty chunk of my paycheck to do. Too bad I’m not an illegal. Sigh. Born and bred here, which means I’m blue collar, law abiding, tax paying, too honest to sit on my butt and collect welfare/medicaid, and I actually pay my bills. Imagine that. I’m still paying for the last round—2 years ago.

I can understand the drs POV. I can’t say—right here—this is what hurts. They’re as frustrated as I am. They’re just not hurting like I am.

I’ve often said if men had to endure what women do in order to get a physical, there’d be a better way—in a hurry! LOL

There are many things to take into consideration when hiring and keeping doctors. How you feel about your doctor is all important. You two have to click.

Also, drs all have different interests and like the old saying, if you're a hammer you look at problems as nails, your GI will think Bowel, your endo thyroid, and so on.

You have to put time into research and see what you can find out about what ails you. Keep a diary and do the research that your dr would if he had the time. Present your evidence/ideas to the doctor.

Get your records sent to you from doctors and hospitals you've used recently. Copy it and summarize it for current and future drs.

Go for young male doctors. They're the ones who still care.

Thanks for the advice! I don’t particularly like drs of any sort—nothing personal. I can lay the blame for that squarely on my daddy’s side of the family. Welsh and Cherokee and backwoods Kentucky—generally healthy as horses and stubborn as mules. If they go to the dr/hosp it’s bad.

Daddy has not been to the dr—except for stitches, last week/cut his hand on a tablesaw—since he got out of the Marines in 64. I’m not quite that hardheaded! LOL

Gotta go to bed—have to work tom. It’s been really good talking to you! Night!

Looks like an interesting place. In spots like that in our park, you can find pitcher plants.

GG, the health food store carries concentrated Cranberry Juice capsules - one or two a day - (I gave them to a friend who had the same ongoing problem and they cleared it up right away) - and drinking lots and lots of water will usually flush anything out. Good luck!

yes, this area has an array of habitats & flora. I go here year round & the winter is beautiful also.. There in this one area is the wet lands, the meadows, the forest. All with a their own flora.

the spring/summer plants include, trillium, toothworths, jack in pulpit, pticher plants, skunk cabbage(of course); squirrel corn; buttercups, mustards,, trout lilies, various colored violets, dutchman’s breeches, rockets (which I have for years erroneously called phlox),, wide array of thistle (which are really pretty but scratchy), cat tails, spring beauty, may apple, blood root, - and so many more

More & more areas are getting overcome with the invasive alien plants.. Even in my yard I am pulling like crazy a few varieties
