Drs are drs—some good, some bad. Kaylee reccommended a dr in greensboro. May have to try him. She also reccommended some really good sites—been checking them out. Just read on one of them to drink a bit of baking soda in a glass of water to help with the burning. It would help so much just to know that I’m not crazy!
I wouldn’t feel so bad about going to dr after dr if BCBS would actually do what I pay them a hefty chunk of my paycheck to do. Too bad I’m not an illegal. Sigh. Born and bred here, which means I’m blue collar, law abiding, tax paying, too honest to sit on my butt and collect welfare/medicaid, and I actually pay my bills. Imagine that. I’m still paying for the last round—2 years ago.
I can understand the drs POV. I can’t say—right here—this is what hurts. They’re as frustrated as I am. They’re just not hurting like I am.
I’ve often said if men had to endure what women do in order to get a physical, there’d be a better way—in a hurry! LOL
Also, drs all have different interests and like the old saying, if you're a hammer you look at problems as nails, your GI will think Bowel, your endo thyroid, and so on.
You have to put time into research and see what you can find out about what ails you. Keep a diary and do the research that your dr would if he had the time. Present your evidence/ideas to the doctor.
Get your records sent to you from doctors and hospitals you've used recently. Copy it and summarize it for current and future drs.
Go for young male doctors. They're the ones who still care.
