yes, this area has an array of habitats & flora. I go here year round & the winter is beautiful also.. There in this one area is the wet lands, the meadows, the forest. All with a their own flora.
the spring/summer plants include, trillium, toothworths, jack in pulpit, pticher plants, skunk cabbage(of course); squirrel corn; buttercups, mustards,, trout lilies, various colored violets, dutchman’s breeches, rockets (which I have for years erroneously called phlox),, wide array of thistle (which are really pretty but scratchy), cat tails, spring beauty, may apple, blood root, - and so many more
More & more areas are getting overcome with the invasive alien plants.. Even in my yard I am pulling like crazy a few varieties
Oh, Dolly, how wonderful your wildflowers sound!

I was intending to point out that one of the plants you listed there, mustard, could be considered “invasive”, but I made the smart mistake of actually looking for information to support that thought of mine. I didn’t find it! I did find that it is believed mustard may not have been native to California, but I thought it was brought to North America by the early settlers.
I found one surprising fact, though, regarding mustard:
The Canadian province of Saskatchewan produces almost half of the world’s supply of mustard seed!
Wonderful! It’s amazing that it is in the city. What a treasure! Those are much the same as we have growing in MA.
