Good for you! I hate those people who feel they are all that.I was the exact opposite of popular lol. But I agree with Esmeralda's above statements.

I'm usually a "keep to myself" kind of person. Thus I
am often mistaken for a snob when face to face with
someone. That's not to say I'm always sweet either.

Unfortunately, the person I had the biggest problem with was
the school nurse. I so wanted her to be there, but she wasn't.
Still, it was rather nice to see the looks on some faces.
Can you tell I love gloating over that night?

Okay guys,
I'm going to bed for now.
Rest well and sweet dreams.
To: Darkchylde
I am that way too. I am often mistaken for being thick-skinned, reclusive and so on. Even on this forum it was hard for me in my first months.

Yes. LOL!
I am glad that was a fun night.
See you tomorrow.
To: Paul_Denton; EsmeraldaA
Popular, what's that? ;-)
I was more friends with teachers than other students.
Most of the other students tended to nitpick about how
pale/thin I am & how "freaky" it was/is. I don't mind it so
much now, there's always someone who finds it intriguing.

I usually stick to the "strange" threads. It's safe that
way 'cause people expect you to be... well, strange.

LOL I see your point.
during my years at public school I was only friends with one person and that was a teacher as well. I did have one friend closer to my age but he moved on. My interest in the sciences earned me the title of "nerd" LOL. But I did not let that deter me :)

LOL!
I am out, you hear.
For real this time.
BYE Bye.
To: Darkchylde
I used to be a political/news junkie but I have moved onto the more entertainment related threads such as the canteen. Much more fun and it is an escape from the real world.

I liked History & was friends with the History teacher.
The other students didn't like him, thought he was stiff
& such. I (of course) didn't see that. My best friend's
mom worked for the school. The two of us were singled
out as "goody-two shoes"... I went to a Christian school.

I never got into the political threads. I have
friends with many differing political views on
here, politics is something we don't discuss.
The poetry threads are nice too. We have
some really great poets. I haven't visited
those threads in a while though.
