NO.... Michael is in school today. Their schools are about 6 miles apart.

My Sis called and said he mailed her a card which should arrive today. Since she loves to go to the mailbox (about 75 feet to the road), I will send her for the mail when we get home.

I hope she doesn't ask if her Mom will be there. She asked that about the Mother's Day breakfast. I wish her Mom had mailed her a card. :(

Sad that she has not got a card from her mom but probably better that she realises that than you pretend and give her one saying it is from her mom. Hard lessons to learn at her age but probably better she does rather than later.

I assume that her brother lives with your sister - do they get much chance to see each other, it is good that he sent a card at least she can put that in her collection.

Sorry another question, does all mail in the States get delivered to mail boxes do you not have letter box (slit) in the door that mail is posted through ?

Thank you ....... But
I dunno ..... :)

MamaBear and Billie make all of the Welcome Graphics for us. St.Louie1 has send me several gifs. Most of the ones with my name on them are from him.

I have found several graphics and did a little modifying with Paint Shop Pro. I have been practicing; I would like to be able to make graphics like those that are sent to me.

Some times I just (shhhh) link to the graphic on Google.

Right it is just that a lot of the gifs you post have your name on them and I wondered what package was used to put the name on.

I have been using animation studio but am not very proficient can make a banner but that is about it LOL

I live in the country so our mailbox is at the road. Our post person drives a car.

In town, the mailpeople walk and deliver the mail to the door.

Michael and Marissa are my brother's grandchildren. Michael is living with my Sis and Marissa lives with us. She spent last Saturday night with them and they had all day Sunday together.

Michael is spending this Sunday night with us and my Sis will not pick him up until late Monday afternoon. I plan to get the wading pool out and filled. :)

I have just noticed another different term wading pool we call them paddling pools LOL

Seriously though I do find it fascinating the slight difference in language sometimes I have to sit and think what the word means other times of course it is obvious. The one that throw me most was yard it took me a couple of years of reading America novels before it sunk in that a lot of Americans refer to a garden as a yard. Whereas a yard in the UK is an area of concrete that you put things on such a builders yards or back yards in house that do not have gardens which might have a few potted plants etc.

LOL

I call them postmen also but I thought I was showing my age if I used that term.

Our yards are an area around the house for grass, patios, flowers, shrubs and trees. :) I guess we have broadened the use of yard to take in the entire area. When I mention a garden, it is where hubby has his vegetables planted .... tomatoes, peppers, corn and squash. :)

I love the English Gardens.

That is a cute graphic.

I'm not very politically correct ..... today is Canada's Clean Air Day.

Everyone wants clean air and clean water but I don't think we should go back to living like they did in the 1700's. :)

What happens with our mail is that a van leaves the sorting office (depot) in the morning with mail bags in them and the postmen/women. There are various metal boxes all over our town where the mail bags are then locked in. The postmen takes one out at a time slings it over his shoulder and then either does his/her deliveries on foot or if a longer round does it by bicycle provided by the post office.

Hi, snugs, I have several photo editing programs, but the one I use the most to make fancy headings, etc is Nova's "Photo Explosion". Like a lot of these kinds of programs, it's loaded with way too much junk that I don't want and will never use, but I haven't found one I like any better yet for the money - as far as pretty text and pretty edges.

Ginger is my favorite flavor too. We get from:

The best flavors, IMHO, are emboldened below:

Vanilla – So luxurious that Food & Wine magazine chose it as one of the best
ice creams in the country!!!

Chocolate – Almost universally acclaimed (84% of judges) as the smoothest,
richest flavor but not overdone…The Boston Globe

Ginger – Made with crushed and pureed ginger root, "its’ subtle flavor is simply
marvelous."

Black Raspberry – Eat it with the lights turned down and that special someone
next to you.

Coconut Almond – Bring the tropics to your home with this delight. Chocolate
covered almonds augment shredded coconut to impart a truly special experience.

Pumpkin – Discover the nuances of pumpkin when combined with a secret
blend of spices.

Cherry Almond – Truly a blast from the past, black cherries and chocolate
covered almonds provide a taste that harkens back to the early 20th century.

Butter Crunch – The buttery flavor just needs to be experienced.

Cookies ‘N Cream – Close your eyes and return with Grandpa to your favorite
childhood ice cream parlor.

Peppermint Stick – Enjoy the holidays all year long.

Coffee – The essence of the Andes cascades to you.

Espresso Crunch – Start with special extracts, add chocolate covered
espresso nuggets and hold onto your seat!

Vanilla Caramel – Caramel swirled into the best vanilla this side of our galaxy.

Chocolate Walnut Fudge – Made especially for you chocolate lovers.
