I Am Water
I am water. I will flow. There is no place I cannot go.
The heart in darkness still will stop, to taste refreshment in a drop.
Cool liquid, sweet and pure, that brings the strength to help endure.
The conflagration burning near will calm, and cool when I am here.
Descending with my friends who fall as tender mercies come to call.
A message from a Friend on High, arriving when the need is nigh.
I am water. I will seep in arid soil where seeds may sleep.
Ill wake them gently and invite, their rise into the air and light.
My tender touch will gently clean the dust that falls on leaves of green.
In Natures garden, I am rain that fills with joy the fruit and grain.
In raging floods of constant thunder, I am that which rips asunder,
The shelters made of stone and sticks that took your hands so long to fix.
What is my purpose, showing might? Do I oppose you in some fight?
I am that force that breaks the stone, so plants and flowers can be sown.
I am the hammer blows that fall, to batter down the prison wall,
To make a garden. Food will grow and gentle souls and hearts may go.
I am water. I am Life. I am joy amid the strife.
Extinguishing the burning blaze, ending droughts, and cutting ways,
Through hardest stone, to break the rocks and open up the prison locks.
I am water. I am tears. I am with you in your fears.
I will wash your pain away and bring fresh hope at end of day.
I am water. I am you. I will make all things be new.
I am water. I will flow. There is no place I cannot go.
I am the hurts felt as you grow. I am water. I will flow.

He Lights The Way
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness. -Psalm 112:4
|
A missionary in Peru went to visit a group of believers one evening. She knew that the house where they were meeting was located on a cliff and the path would be treacherous. She took a taxi as far as it could go, and then she began the hazardous ascent to the house on foot. The night was dark and the way was very difficult. As she rounded a bend, she suddenly came upon several believers carrying bright lanterns. They had come out to light the way. Her fears were relieved, and she ascended the path easily. In a similar way, God lights our path. When we trust Jesus as our Savior, He who is the Light of the world enters our lives and removes the darkness of our sin and despair. This light continues to comfort us through times of sorrow. In the midst of sadness, trouble, illness, or disappointment, the Lord brightens the way and encourages His children by giving hope. This may come through a word of exhortation from a fellow believer. It may be the illumination of God's Word by the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It may be calm reassurance in response to heartfelt prayer. Or it may be the miraculous supply of a specific need. Whatever the case, God sends light when we are engulfed in darkness. Jesus gives light in the darkest night! -Dave Egner
No darkness have we who in Jesus abide- The Light of the world is Jesus; We walk in the Light when we follow our Guide- The Light of the world is Jesus. -Bliss
God sometimes puts us in the dark to show us that Jesus is the light.

ON WINGS OF PRAYER
Just close your eyes and open your heart and feel your worries and cares depart. Just yield yourself to the Father above, and let Him hold you secure in His love... For life on earth grows more involved with endless problems that can't be solved. But God only asks us to do our best, then He will "take over" and finish the rest... So when you are tired, discouraged and blue, there's always one door that is open to you. And that is the door to "the house of prayer". You'll find God waiting to meet you there... And "the house of prayer" is no farther away than the quiet spot where you kneel to pray, for the heart is a temple when God is there as we place ourselves in His loving care... And He hears every prayer and answers each one when we pray in His name, "Your will be done." And the burdens that seemed too heavy to bear are lifted away on "the wings of prayer." There was a story here that happened yesterday that has upset me. A 14 yr old kid borrowed, used, and returned a neighbors lawn mower. The neighbor was upset about it and came over to the kid's house with 2 other men and beat, kicked, and then shot the boy in the back at close range with a shot gun. He died last night. Two other children were shot, a 12 yr and an 18 yr old, they did not die.
