Guess we don't have the Kerry's to criticize anymore. Talk about disappearing off the face of the earth!

"Talk about disappearing off the face of the earth!"
Ain't that the truth. The only thing he was good for was a daily laugh. :)
Hope you are having a great Sunday.
We will be going to a basketball game this afternoon.

Science Fiction
I love Science Fiction. The mind, unfettered, roams.
It gives us hope that well know peace, and stars will be our homes.
I first encountered stories, when I was just a lad,
Those flashy tales of derring-do, and Oh! The fun I had!
I like to think I learned some things, of act and consequence.
Action and reaction led to growing common sense.
I learned of cold equations, that the truth could bring some pain,
And I learned most of our problems find solutions in our brain.
I learned to think outside the box, in Universes new,
To see with other eyes, and hear new voices, too.
Someday I will join them, in a ship or with my mind,
And I can just imagine all the wonders that Ill find.

Dropping in to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and leave a little poem to think on.
FEATHERS
By CBLee
If lessons are winged
On the winds of tomorrow,
gather the feathers that
fall from the sorrow.
Someday we'll fly from
the bounds of our tethers.
So, if lessons are winged,
Hold on to the feathers.

In the park hear our home my little girls would often pick up feathers, of blue jays, ducks, even crows.
I wondered what they might do with them when they got enough.
I think they knew ... one day they would need to leave the nest.

Oh, that's neat. My parents will probably stay here for a long time. I'll be bouncing around from apartment to apartment...
