Thank you cyborg. Freeper Laura Earl is now my wife. She really wasn't expecting me to buy a ring that day. She never would have thought I would propose in the jewelry store. I would like to say it was spontaneous, but I am never spontaneous. I do set aside 2 hours everyday for spontaneity, then I plan what I'll do! ; )

Amy, Mama_Bear, and Billie, can sure pretty up a poem. They sure can. Good prose there too, CG.
Here is the link to even MORE pics on our wing-ding with the Robinson's.
These were SerpentDove's pics. They are really good, too! (post #166):
DALLAS FREEPERS DINE WITH JIM ROBINSON
(Report and Photos)

Meek: "Hey, Mr. Robinson. I 'talked' to Amy on the P&P thread and she wanted me to give you a message." JR: "Oh, okay. What's the message?" Meek: "Well, I had a frog choker at my house and she said to tell you that if she can handle a tornado, that you should be able to handle a frog choker." JR: "Frog choker? We got a little bit of rain, but no frog choker here." Meek: "Oh, well then .... nevermind! LOL!" |

I have to tell you that CG's song lyrics and Patriotic poems represent so much of what I feel. This is a great silly, romantic poem.. I assume written for your wife CG? She is lucky to have someone write these things for her!
Have a great day!

The answer that came from her lips,
Was strange, you bet your life.
There I knelt with heart a pound,
Expecting shed say yes.
Instead with tears she issued forth,
Well sure, I mean, I guess.
I thought the woman's response was humorous or sad, but then I see cyborg and Amy say it was sweet. I guess I don't understand "love". Thank you for the poem.

Well in my case... ( I had the exact same response when my husband asked me) I was so over taken with emotion I couldn't think straight.. and why wouldn't she be with a great guy like CG????
