I can't stay away from the TV. Nancy Reagan is so classy and so fragile looking that I want to reach out and give her a hug.
The coverage honoring President Reagan has been exceptional.

LOL! I think it's you, Amy...
I'm just answering pings that I didn't get to today. I had a lot, couldn't think of stuff to say fast enough. It's getting busier at work lately and probably will be for a while now. I may have to retire so I can answer pings all day!
Saw part of the memorial for Reagan, a 60 minutes interview of Reagan's biographer and son, and what's her name on the supreme court. Made me want to cry for his family and our country. I don't know what happened in the 80's, I was only thinking of myself back then [even more so then than now ; ) ], so I didn't know much about Reagan than what I've been told lately. He sounds like a rarity of good character and strong faith. After seeing the interview of his biographer I think they chose the right person to do his book, and I have less respect for, I think it was, Leslie Stahl.
I'm gonna leave for the night, need to get ready for work tomorrow. See you then, God bless and good night.

I wonder how McDonald's got in that song? The song was probably around half a century before McDonald's appeared and lured us on with 15-cent hamburgers.

Yep ..... looks like someone took some liberties with the lyrics.
I enjoy finding that music from 1900 - 1930. It is fun music.
How about this one?

Somebody Stole My Gal
Words and Music by Leo Wood ~~~~~1918
Midi File by Bill Edwards
Verse 1:
Gee, but I'm lonesome, lonesome and blue.
I've found out something I never knew.
I know now what it means to be sad,
For I've lost the best gal I ever had;
She only left yesterday, Somebody stole her away.
Chorus:
Somebody stole my gal, Somebody stole my pal.
Somebody came and took her away, She didn't even say she was leavin'
The kisses I love so, He's getting now I know,
And Gee! I know that she would come to me if she could see,
Her broken hearted lonesome pal, Somebody stole my gal.
Verse 2:
Angels they say are only above.
I know that's wrong because my old love,
Sure is an angel, take it from me,
And she's all the angel I want to see;
Maybe she'll come back some day, All I can do now is pray.
And Gee! I know that she would come to me if she could see,
Her broken hearted lonesome pal,
Somebody stole my, somebody stole my, somebody stole my gal!

Stormy Outlook
Looking up,
Lightning strikes.
Looming danger
Lights the sky.
Losing thoughts;
Lack of dark,
Leaving in seconds.
Listening to the rumble,
Largely overwhelming.
Launching the sound
Lands in my ears.
Living to its fullest,
Loudness surrounds,
Leaving in seconds.

Stormy Weather
Don't know why
There's no sun up in the sky
Stormy weather
Since my man and I
Ain't together
Keeps raining all the time
Life is bare
Gloom and misery everywhere
Stormy weather
Just can't get my poor self together
So weary all the time
Since he went away
The blues walked in and met me
If he stays away
Old rocking chair will get me
All I do is pray
The Lord above will let me
Walk in the sun once more
Can't go on
Everything I had is gone
Stormy weather
Me and my man
Ain't together
Keeps raining all the time

Do you go to work earlier than before?
The weather looked awful during the funeral procession today.

As our country mourns the loss of our beloved President Reagan, I am thankful that he was here to restore trust and faith in our country.
President Reagan gave us back our pride as he made the world a much safer place. We were blessed to have him as our Commander in Chief.
