The US Supreme Court reportedly voted to END Roe v Wade in a DRAFT OPINION by Justice Samuel Alito according to a report leaked to Politico this evening.
The draft opinion was leaked to the press – something that is dangerous and unprecedented. Of course, there are reports that the leaker is a liberal clerk who hopes to change the outcome of the case.
More news broke last night.
According to the report Chief Justice John Roberts sided with Democrats in the decision.
This is not a surprise considering Roberts’s liberal voting record.
This also gives Democrats a target. They now know which justices they need to harass and target.

Where did the reporting come from about other votes on the court? That was not in the Politico report.
Seems like this leak of a draft opinion from February may have become the subject of fake news.

I’ve read the ruling was 6-3 when this draft was published.
If that is the case this is wrong or Kagan/Sotomayor/Breyer voted with the majority which I highly doubt (maybe Kagan, for all her flaws she lands on the right side occasionally)
Article is misleading based on what we have seen an heard. First Roberts is Pro Life, and his wife is a pro life activist.
Secondly, according to the draft, it is 5-3 to overturn Roe.. the tea readers of the court have said for months that Roberts looks willing to let the MS law stand, banning abortions after 15 weeks. But doesn’t agree with overturning Roe completely. The belief has been if there are 5 votes to overturn, Roberts will ultimately join the majority, to influence the final wording of the majority opinion.
I suspect abortion will be banned after 15 weeks, and the issues of abortions before that will be sent back to the states.

Roberts is siding with these justices in order to give D’s a fighting chance from the Karen coalition in November for mid-terms.
Psychologically a 5-4 decision may hold off court packing more than a 6-3 would.

I think it’s disinformation.
Roberts has been a great disappointment on many things and not much of a Chief Justice because he tends to avoid difficult issues. But I don’t think he’d join with the minority (pro-abortion) justices on this one.
Ok, I’ll put you down as an all or nothing freeper. She had just been seated, nominated by Trump, voting to overturn the 2020 election would have been a disaster for everyone. Plus the courts try like hell to not get involved with election cases. But go ahead an be part of the “my way or the highway” problem.
