Many FReepers have knowledge to share about improving and maintaining health and would like to share it and learn from others; and others may not know much yet but want to learn. Some of us don't have much money for good insurance or doctors, some want to try other methods besides prescription meds, and some have experience in treating and solving health problems.

More and more "regular" doctors have accepted treatment methods such as the benefits of acupuncture, massage for many conditions, better diet, use of herbs and so on. There are limits, and often side effects, to some standard medical efforts.

My field is Ayurvedic herbalism and related measures, and have a lot of information I can post when I have time. I have seen herbs and sometimes dietary changes help people (including myself) with issues such as rheumatoid arthritis, high BP, gallstones, kidneystones, repeated boils, UTIs, prostate problems, insomnia, allergies, urinary incontinence, and many more. I hope to learn a lot from others with their knowledge and experience.

There are many "old fashioned" home care methods that were in common use a few generations ago that actually work and are cheap, such as castor oil packs, fomentations using alternating hot and cold water, and the like, which are easy to do. I am sure there is a lot of knowledge here on Free Republic that can be shared.

I would like this thread to stay civil without distruption, so my request is that people who think natural health methods are bunkum, make your own thread.

Pinging the list again - reminding about natural means to deal with stress; I will be posting more on that.

Also - a dear FReeper may want to use fenbendazole for cancer, and the link I had to buy it has changed. Does anyone know where to easily order fenbendazole?

If anyone has more info on fenbendazole and how to dose it—website, links, vids, etc., or links if it’s been posted to this thread (I haven’t been keeping up with what’s on the thread very much). Two in-laws of my extended family have been diagnosed with colon cancer, and I’d like to pass the information on. Since it’s dog dewormer, I don’t know if they’ll use the info, but at least I did all I could letting them know about it.

Thanks for any help!

I got influenza A the end of Noveber. I have not felt well since then and my cough is worse and worse every day.

I’ve had 3 or 4 courses of prednisone (which I’m not happy about, but need to breathe). I have COPD. My pulmonologist has changed my meds and i start on a nebulizer later this week. I am out of breath walking 50 feet or less.

I found a leaking bottle of ammonia under my kitchen sink tonight, I’m sure that hasn’t helped with my chronic coughing.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Oh no, that is not good news. I have a friend who has asthma and when she gets a respiratory virus, usually has to take prednisone, definitely has some drawbacks but breathing is vital.

I will think and look around and post more tomorrow (plus I want to add to things that help reduce stress).

First, do your lungs have liquid in them? Is your cough productive or dry?

A few things to try:

Steam inhalations with EOs like Eucalyptus.

If you have strong fragance articles in your house, try to minimize/change products. They are not good for the lungs at all.

Drink only hot fluids and eat only hot foods. Cold coagulates whatever is in the lungs.

I can’t remember if you were one that tried using pippali - aka long pepper. It is one of the best herbs for lung function and clearning out lungs.I have used it many times. If you can get some, I have posted how to make medicated milk with it, and I can post again. I have no clue why Amazon sometimes has these horrible long urls.

https://www.amazon.com/MB-Herbals-Seasoning-Malabar-Curries/dp/B09FZ1VLPL/ref=d_pd_vtp_vft_none_sccl_2_3/139-2409071-8670868?pd_rd_w=wVCm1&content-id=amzn1.sym.8e065679-52e9-4d16-ae63-fa3d08b93cef&pf_rd_p=8e065679-52e9-4d16-ae63-fa3d08b93cef&pf_rd_r=X7EFP76H95BNRYC6ZRNM&pd_rd_wg=LLV6b&pd_rd_r=e94f1e7e-ab2a-4a4c-acb4-09afc083c686&pd_rd_i=B09FZ1VLPL&psc=1

If you can order lomatium extract, it is excellent not just for coughs but is also anti-viral and helps clear the lungs. It was used by Natives in Nevada during the killer flu of 1918 and they did not die or get as sick as the whites.

https://www.amazon.com/Herb-Pharm-Lomatium-Extract-Support/dp/B0016B7WKS

I know that codeine cough syrup helped me when I had nonstop coughing from some kind of flu, it was making my upper chest swell and felt dangersou. I did use for a while but prefer to avoid. It is prescription, have you tried that?

If you can do some breathing excercises, however minimally, this will likely help lung function. No need for sitting on the floor, a straight back chair is fine.

Here’s a link:

Let me know if any of these help.

It had some of the long pepper but it got lost in our recent move, i have been using red pepperin broth. It helps somewhat.

I will look into lomatium. I also want to look into SwisCris for inhaling.

I have been boiling peppermint with lemons. That seems to help a little.

My cough was very productive at first but seems to be getting less productive now.

All the while this was happening i had surgery to repair 4 hernias. I couldn’t urinate after surgery so they put in a catheter and addmitted me for 2 nights. They discharged me me with the catheter and didn’t remove it for 30 days. I finally went to the ED when i started passing clots. I ended up spending 2 nights again in the hospital. I ended up with a bad infection.

Life has pretty much been a nightmare since the end of Nov.

Now I’m waiting for a CT scan in April because I had a Pet scan 2 months that was inclusive for lung cancer. If the nodules have grown they will biopsy them.

The bright side, I’ve lost 25 pounds.

If anyone prays, I would appricate prayers.

Oh my goodness, you have been going through a lot.

Another couple of things - fresh ginger is good for respiratory function, and black pepper dries out secretions. Powdered dry ginger works more on digestion, but does have some respiratory help too. Try a ginger/black pepper tea a few times a day.

And if there is fluid or phlegm in lungs, hot compresses can be very helpful on the upper back and alternating with upper chest. Easier if you have someone to help but can be done by oneself without difficulty. Cover up with a blanket while doing the hot compresses. Bowl of hot water, two small towels (like hand towels or large wash cloths) and when cooled down, switch wit the ones in the hot water. Wring out so not dripping and apply).

Wow. And if you may have cancer, there is much info on the thread. Many natural/alternative things you can do. Including Ivermectin and Fenbendazole. I didn’t know about them when I had cancer, so I kicked it with lumpectomy and large amounts of herbs, it’s all up the thread.

You could start taking turkey tails any time, very good for the immune system in general and cancer in particular.

Prayers for your health and peace of mind, FRiend. May God protect you and hold you close.

Body Talk is a treatment therapy that I ran into by accident more than 20 years ago. I could make it a long story but... short version.

I had a horrible illness that was literally killing me. Bouts of horrible uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea, usually lasting 4 days or so, that got worse and worse, about every 3-4 weeks. Ended up in the ER once, dehydrated. Got three rounds of tests at the local clinic, nothing. Desperate after a year of this horror, I randomly picked the name of an acupuncturist in the nearby (35 miles) town, as I have had success with acupuncture for other conditions in the past.

The acupuncturist told me she did another type of treatment called Body Talk as well and would I like to try that in additional to the acupuncture. It sounded very woo and off putting but I thought “God led me here, and I am desperate, I will try it”.

She did one treatment with needles, and the other method, and determined the cause, and said I would have no more symptoms.

I was cured in one treatment. I did have followup acupuncture to regain my strength and health.

My husband was so impressed he spent a good deal of money taking two long seminars to learn Body Talk as a lay practitioner. He hasn’t done it in years but starting looking through his manuals and other materials, as well as online info, as he wants to start again at least for treating me.

******Yesterday while studying the materials, came across one method that deals with repairing DNA and was stated to heal or cure vaccine damage.***** And this is not recently published, so it means vaccine damage in general.

We have seen very good results with Body Talk and I am glad he is starting to relearn the method. Below are links describing how it works, and where to find a practitioner, they are in many countries.

The originator was a chiropractor and acupuncturist, and he devised this method using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic methods and background, and much knowledge of phsysiology and anatomy. Simply put, it uses the body’s innate ability to heal itself by making connections that many not be functioning well, as the bodily systems all work together.

One thing I do NOT like: They have something called Parama which appears to be some pseudo-spiritual stuff. But it is separate from the regular treatments. BT practitioners are often in the health field as a chiropractor, acupuncturist etc.

BodyTalk
In 1995, Dr. John Veltheim introduced BodyTalk, a revolutionary healthcare system that uses state-of-the-art energy medicine to optimise the body’s internal communications and allow it to more effectively respond to injury and illness. Since then, the BodyTalk System has been taught to thousands of practitioners around the world.

Today, there are more than 100 trained BodyTalk Instructors teaching the System in 36 countries and counting. Graduates of these courses include doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, nurses and licensed massage therapists.

The outstanding growth and success of the BodyTalk System has been fueled by the following factors:

exceptional results occur in almost every sphere of healthcare
it can be used as a stand-alone healthcare system
it can be integrated seamlessly into any other healthcare modality and is complementary to each modality
it is completely non-invasive and absolutely safe
No diagnosis is given, no medications prescribes and no invasive techniques imposed upon the patient
