Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

I have no reason to question Judge Carter but you should be aware that one of his law clerks, Siddharth Velamoor, was previously employed as an attorney by Perkins Cole, :LLP and may be on a leave of absence from them while he clerks for Judge Carter.

Robert F. Bauer, a partner of Perkins Cole , is Chair of their Political Law Group and is General Counsel to Obama for America and General Counsel to the Democratic National Committee.

I would watch this.
Keep up the good work!

Obamas lawyer dominates Democratic money machine
DNC leader the man to see
By Matthew Mosk
In the heat of the 2008 Democratic primary campaign, when members of candidate Barack Obamas staff began to fret about the potential for illegal attempts to intimidate voters on Election Day in Nevada, the campaigns general counsel calmly told everyone on a staff conference call to settle down.
Dont worry, lawyer Robert Bauer is said to have counseled. If necessary, the campaign will simply call the local authorities and have the opposition forces arrested.
That wasnt really Mr. Bauers plan, of course. But the dose of bravado became such a rallying point, campaign staffers printed up T-shirts with the quote, We may have to have some people arrested on the back. On the front it read, I (heart) Bob Bauer.
There were many Washington insiders who saw their stars rise with Mr. Obamas election 10 months ago. But few have soared as high or shone as brightly as Mr. Bauer.
(snip)
He has had another reason to proceed with more caution. His wife, veteran political strategist Anita Dunn, was tapped to be Mr. Obama’s communications director.

I think you’ve hit on something here.
Siddharth Velamoor practices in the following areas of law: Product Liability
Law School: Columbia University, J.D.
Could Carter be a judge who will appear to the right & the left as being a Patriot? Impartial? Concerned about violations to the Constitution? All of this, to keep up an appearance, that when all is said and done, his “impartiality will ultimately rule on behalf of Obama? Red flags are popping up on my barometer.
I think great FReepers with shovels & resources need to dig deeper here.
I’m not liking what I’m reading about Velamoor and the implications of his association with Perkins-Coie, Bauer, etc. Of all people, Judge Carter——Why? Why? Why would you hire him?
Thanks for the ping.
I am concerned about this.

His alleged affiliation now with the judge's office needs to be confirmed.
Does someone at the LA Times / OC Register know about this?

So, should we be expecting a 43 page rampage against the plaintiff’s attorney soon?

(Saying I don’t like the look of this is an understatement!)
Does anyone know when he started to clerk for Carter? This is going to be a sensitive issue, but given the stakes of the case itself and the appearance of a possible conflict of interest (at the very least) isn’t Velamoor’s recusal appropriate?
According to the unconfirmed report, Oct. 1.
Oct 1 — sheesh!!!
That is extremely suspicious & should have been a red flag to Carter unless he was unaware of the law firm’s involvement with BHO or unless he has overconfidence in his judgment of the character and morals of the clerks he chooses.
