Eagles will be ahead by 10 in the 1st half, then Freepers will initiate the Rove 3.1 software and steal the game for the Pats. :) Just like we did in Ohio.

I wish I cared about the Superbowl this year. Neither team thrills me.
I'll watch it for the commercials, and will probably root for the Patriots only because I'm SICK of those stupid Campbell's soup commercials with Donovan McNabb's mother.

I should add that I chose that because it's how things turned out the last time we faced the Eagles and I expect much the same this go around.

No predictions...
But, I'll be rooting for Philly and betting (if I was making a bet, which I'm not) on New England.

Tedy was on the cover of SI last week, and an article about him the week previous (or vice versa).

Just out of curiousity, who is the home team? Will the Pats be in blue?

Maybe I can redeem myself for my miserable playoff performance...
The breakdown:
- PHI Offense vs. NE Defense -- first and foremost, New England will attempt to shut down Brian Westbrook, and force McNabb to pass. Despite the concerns over the Patriot seconday, the real key is the amount of time McNabb will have to throw. If the Patriots cannot both contain McNabb and get nominal pressure on him, they can be exploited downfield. On the whole, I respect McNabb's ability to buy himself time, but I like the NE defense here.
- NE Offense vs. PHI Defense -- primary question that has to be answered: can Philly stop Dillon/Faulk without over-committing to the run? If the answer is yes, then the can keep the Pats in check, otherwise, Brady will be taking advantage of single coverage all night long. I think the Patriots' rushing game will have middling success, which should lead to a couple (but only a couple) of big plays for the NE passing game.
- Special teams -- pretty much a wash and a wild-card. NE may have a slight advantage because they play starters on kick coverage, but any real big plays from either team would be a surprise.
Prediction: NE 24, PHI 16 -- the game will be fairly low-scoring most of the way as both defenses kep the other side basically in check. Each team will get a couple of big plays, but the Patriots will get just enough more to get some extra points on the board.

Pats to win, Brady MVP. 2 Buttocks, a set of twigs and berries exposed. The (in)famous naked flasher guy makes an appearance at halftime.

I don't like either team. I wish the game would end in a tie. I am looking forward to some good Bud commercials.
