I do not understand why people are even debating the proposed National I.D. card! Folks, this is incrementalism at its best. First, the National I.D. Then, with the surge of biometrics, the implanted chip. Please tell me you see the connection. When people are sick of losing their cards or the privacy issue becomes too much of a problem, the implantable chip will be implimented. This has little to do with security.
