Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=W_t4if3ubcc Syrian-American human rights activist Ammar Abdulhamid and Egyptian-American researcher Samuel Tadros discussed Zionism and Israel last week on Al-Hurra TV (United States), reports the Middle Ease Media Research Institute (MEMRI). Ammar Abdulhamid said that there is a colonialist-imperialist streak in all civilizations and this means that the colonialist aspects of Zionism are not unique. He argued that the Arabs have become nihilistic with regard to Israel because they focused on annihilating Israel instead of building a Palestinian state right from the start. He also said that one cannot ignore the role that Arab Jews played in Israel's establishment...

How the Left Gets the Statue of Liberty Poem Wrong No, it’s not a mandate to wreck America. August 22, 2019 Daniel Greenfield 3 Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism. Being a writer means never knowing what you might be remembered for. Or how badly. That poem that Emma Lazarus became famous for was forgotten, remembered again, and has been misused, quoted out of context and transformed into a battle cry for open borders and a disastrous immigration policy. Its lines about...

An ugly scene over the weekend in which vulgar anti-Semitic slurs were hurled at French philosopher Alain Finkielkraut led the Paris prosecutor’s office to open an inquiry Sunday into “public insult due to origin, ethnicity, race or religion”. The next day, a group of lawmakers from a parliamentary committee against anti-Semitism said they wanted to criminalise anti-Zionism in France. A resulting debate has raised thorny questions over anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism, with many insisting there is a distinction between being anti-Jewish and being against either the state of Israel or the policies of the Jewish state. Anti-Semitism is defined by the...

Detailed proposals and recommendations for combating antisemitism in Europe were presented on Wednesday at a conference in Vienna arranged by the Federal Chancellery of Austria led by Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. The recommendations, called the “Catalogue of Policies to Combat Antisemitism,” were drawn up by the European Jewish Congress with the assistance of academics from universities in Vienna, Tel Aviv and New York. “Antisemitism and anti-Zionism are getting blurred, but they are two sides of the same coin,” Kurz said during his opening address at the high level conference, titled “Europe beyond antisemitism and anti-Zionism – securing Jewish life in...

Natalie Portman’s statement is a model of liberal Zionist dissent. It focuses its fire on Israel’s elected leadership, while evincing love for its people; insists that one need not choose between the Jewish value of empathy for the marginalized, and support for the Jewish state; and frames her criticism of Israeli policy as a defense of Israel’s own best interests — all while explicitly disavowing the BDS movement. For decades, progressive Jews have been assured that such sentiments are kosher. The notion that there is a fundamental distinction between the righteousness of Israeli policy and Israel’s right to exist as...

On a reporting trip to Gaza, Amman, and Damascus in 1994, I made a habit of asking Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood leaders whom I met the following question: Did they think the Jews had a plan to dominate the world? I’ll never forget the enthusiastic answer of a pediatrician named Abdelaziz Rantissi, a Hamas leader, whom I met in his doctor’s office in Gaza. “Yes, indeed,” he said. “I have a copy right here.” And he pulled down from a shelf an Arabic-language copy of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. It was a response I heard again and...

The most moving and eloquent words spoken in the UN General Assembly, the assembly of hypocrisy, incitement, and lies, were articulated by Daniel Moynihan, the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, after the UNGA on November 10, 1975 passed the infamous Resolution that declared that "Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination." Moynihan rose to declare that “this is a lie which the UN has now declared to be truth. A great evil has been loosed on the world. The U.S. did not acknowledge, it will not abide by, it will never acquiesce in this infamous act... the abomination...

A furious row erupted inside and outside the Labour party last night after former London mayor Ken Livingstone was “given a slap on the wrist” over anti-Semitic comments. Mr. Livingstone — who had been suspended from the party last April over remarks saying Hitler had supported Zionism — was handed a further 12-month ban from representing Labour. He will remain a full member of the party and will still be allowed to take part in Labour votes and attend meetings. But MPs, including some from his own party’s shadow cabinet, described the move as “shameful” and said the party leadership...

The New Christian Zionism is a penetrating look at how Christians have framed conversations about Israel as a people and a land in the 20th century. Contributors to the book include Robert Benne, Craig Blaising, Darrell Bock, Mark S. Kinzer, Shadi Khalloul, Gerald R. McDermott, Robert Nicholson, David Rudolph, Mark Tooley, and Joel Willitts. The writers define the "New Christian Zionism" as a theologically-rooted conviction that Israel has a corporate right to exist "with the same human rights and security guarantees that other nations receive" and that God's plan in the future involves Israel as a national entity and as...

Hanan Ashwari has for decades been the most recognizable face of the Palestinian government in the American media. As was clear this morning, she is also the face of Palestinian rejectionism of the very basis of the existence of the State of Israel. Ashwari appeared on CNN after David Keyes, Netanyahu’s spokesman, said that the real barrier to peace is Palestinian rejection of Israel as a Jewish state. Ashwari expressed that rejection in clear terms: “we cannot a accept religion for any state.” Emphasizing her point, she twice mockingly described Israel as wanting Palestinians “to become Zionists suddenly.” View the...

The death of former Israeli president and prime minister Shimon Peres last week marks the last of the Zionist “old guard” who successfully fought for a UN mandate to establish the state of Israel in what was formerly British Palestine. Much has been written about Peres since his death. He was a peacemaker. He was a warrior. He was brutal. He was complex. It is possible for all of them to be accurate at the same time. Was Peres a warrior? That is without question. Israel was established in bloodshed and Peres played an important role in that fight. Also,...

A senior official at the Islamic University in Lucca, Italy published a series of controversial Facebook posts, blasting the Italian Prime Minister and demanding “a final solution” for Zionists. The official, Rafelo Vilni, condemned Zionism, saying “there needs to be a final solution for Zionists,” adding that “real Jews are the victims of Zionism”. The post was later deleted, but not before the Israeli Embassy in Italy captured a screenshot of the message. Vilni also posted a comment slamming Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. .....

Following the Orlando terror attack, Professor Ahmad Nofal of the University of Jordan said in his weekly program that gunman Omar Mateen was a "sick personality" with "perverse tendencies" and that "[homosexuality] is controlled and imposed upon the world by global Zionism, Allah's number one enemy on Earth." Professor Nofal added that Mateen "evoked the Western model of heroism," represented in the massacre of Native Americans. His address aired on the Jordanian Yarmouk TV channel on June 17. Ahmad Nofal: "(Omar Mateen) is a dramatic character that requires a film - a Hitchcock-style horror movie, like 'Psycho' from over 50...

Ex-mayor and Labour councillor calls to deport Israelis to US, claims Israel behind US school shooting and ISIS terror attacks. Yet another member of the UK Labour Party has stirred up controversy with a series of virulently anti-Israel comments accusing the Jewish state of a litany of atrocities and calling for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel. After a week in which both former London mayor and Labour activist Ken Livingstone and Labour MP Naz Shah were suspended for anti-Semitic comments, the former mayor of Blackburn has come under fire for social media comments posted less than a year...

A new poll has found that youth in Israel are increasingly right-wing in their political opinions, and are overwhelmingly Zionist and loyal to their country. The survey, conducted by the New Wave Research institute for Israel Hayom and published in part on Wednesday, asked 11th and 12th graders to define their political position. A full 59% defined themselves as right-wing, while another 23% said they were centrist, and only 13% identified as leftist. Another 5% said they have no position. A whopping 82% said there is no chance of reaching a deal of some sort with the Palestinian Arabs, indicating...

McCray oversees the fund.

Just days after the UK Labour Party suspended one of its members who claimed Israel had created ISIS and was responsible for the attacks in Brussels, a former mayor quit the party over an investigation into allegations of anti-Semitism. Khadim Hussain, who had previously served as the Mayor of Bradford, was suspended by the Labour Party on March 23rd, pending the outcome of an investigation into a series of Facebook posts. On Friday Hussain quit the party, calling the investigation unfair and groundless. "I wrote to the Labour March on 24 March, outlining my position in response to the unfounded...
