Ever since Obama became a serious candidate for the Democrat ticket in “08”, we have been deluged with various groups of people in America treating Obama like a celebrity. This is nothing new for Americans, after all we have seen different segments of our society display signs of idol worship for many celebrities from rock stars like Elvis Presley to sports heroes like Michael Jordan. However, we have never experienced the type of sycophantic worship for a politician like we see from the left for Obama. Oh sure the nation came together and cried when JFK was assassinated, but...

Every so often, actual breaking news is so absurd that parody is the only answer. After news of President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize broke on Friday, the website, FreeRepublic.com was deluged by its members with Breaking News! parody posts. The faux headlines kept me giggling all day, and a few have already made it into my inbox via e-mails gone viral Breaking! President Obama named Sears Preferred Customer! Barak Obama Finds the Arc of the Covenant. Indiana Jones Inconsolable. Breaking! Obama's Face Found on Mars! BREAKING: Obama inventor of the Internet....Nobel committee takes back prize given to Al Gore. World...

Glenn repeated some of the prayer, it kind of sounds like the Lords prayer only to Obama, to be released to the internet in 15 minutes ... It's a group of community organizers praying to him as if he were God.

Another video of children singing praises of Barack Obama has surfaced on Youtube. In this case the kids appear to be students at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, New Jersey. The overall effect is somewhat creepy. American patriotic hymns do not, as a rule, celebrate people, even great ones like Washington and Lincoln. The Star Spangled Banner and the Battle Hymn of the Republic celebrate the common people of America, struggling to win and to maintain freedom. What happened at B. Bernice Young Elementary School is even more egregious in the fact that at least for the Sing...

I’m a dead-set sucker for President Obama’s get-to-know-me-and-my-family-better propaganda stunts. Now, we could be cynical of the pervy, made-for-OK! insights into Life As An Obama that are deftly emitted from the White House on a regular basis. Especially in these over-share-y times. But, refreshingly, very few of us are. There’s been the family dog-buying episode, the gossip magazine covers, the gorgeously orchestrated “candid” shots of Barack on the campaign trail (Oh, there he is looking buggered, and look, he’s wearing shoes with worn-out soles. How very Regular Joe!). We follow Michelle’s organic veggie garden project on Youtube and pour over...

(CNN) — House Minority Whip Eric Cantor tells CNN's John King that the GOP still has a lot to learn from President Obama. "President Obama is a great communicator. We understand that," he said in an interview that aired on CNN's State of the Union Sunday. "He's also been very adept at adopting the technology of today to access the youth vote and the younger population of this country. That's the future, and I believe we've got a lot to learn. The Republican Party can't keep doing things the way it always has in terms of technology." Cantor, along with...

(CNN) — John McCain’s general election campaign began as “the strategic equivalent of throwing a football through a tire at 50 yards” – and was doomed weeks before Election Day, his former chief strategist said Thursday. “We were running a campaign under extra difficult circumstances — the state of the Republican Party, the president’s unpopularity, the economy — a lot of issues that were not John McCain’s fault, but were John McCain’s problem in this race,” Schmidt told an audience at the University of Delaware, according to Politico. “When Lehman Brothers collapsed in the fall I knew pretty much right...

A Democratic president thrills a French audience by telling it that America has been “arrogant.” He brushes aside 50 years of anti-communist orthodoxy by relaxing restrictions against Fidel Castro’s Cuba. He directs his attorney general to ease a crackdown on medical marijuana and even plays host to the Grateful Dead in the Oval Office. Several times a month in his young presidency, Barack Obama has done things that cause conservatives to bray, using the phrase once invoked by Bob Dole, “Where’s the outrage?!” The outrage is definitely there, in certain precincts of Republican politics. What’s notable, however, is that it...

The presidential election is coming to the small screen. HBO will make a film based on the landmark 2008 election, featuring larger-than-life political characters like Sarah Palin, John McCain and President Barack Obama, the network announced this week. The film will be based on the book "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime," by Time magazine editor-at-large Mark Halperin and New York magazine political correspondent John Heilemann.

At the top of the 3:00PM EST hour of live coverage on MSNBC, anchor Norah O’Donnell and Politico executive editor Jim VandeHei were practically tripping over themselves declaring Barack Obama the "rock star" of Europe in the wake of the G-20 summit. O’Donnell began by asking: "Can we gauge this meeting as a success?" VandeHei replied: "I think early indications are it probably was a big success...I think they'll hail that as a big success. I think the fact that he's just been greeted like such a hero overseas...and I think that that press conference will probably get a pretty...

CNN correspondent Alina Cho loaded the regal language into her report on Wednesday’s American Morning about Europe’s “apparent love affair” with Michelle Obama. Besides the obligatory Jackie Kennedy references, Cho gave a preview of the first lady’s tea with Queen Elizabeth II: “On today’s schedule: tea with the queen, and insiders say the queen and America’s queen bee will be fast friends.” The correspondent even compared Mrs. Obama to Princess Diana. She also referred to the Obamas as the “royal family of the United States.” Cho began her report by hyping the first lady’s popularity, how it apparently isn’t exclusive...

On Sunday’s CBS 60 Minutes, commentator Andy Rooney read from some viewer letters: "It's always fun to read the letters people send, I get a lot of them, although, to be honest, if I took all the letters seriously I wouldn't ever say anything again. I get quite a few bad letters and, of course, I pay least attention to those. I don't want you to see me cry." Some of those "bad letters" came from viewers who criticized Rooney’s and the media’s pro-Obama bias: "Thomas Overley writes from Oceanside, California. He's mad because he thinks I like President Obama....

MOSCOW (Reuters) – A Russian advertising agency has used an image resembling U.S. President Barack Obama to promote a new vanilla-and-chocolate ice cream, drawing the ire of human rights groups who said the ad was vulgar. Ice Cream Plant No. 3 in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg launched last week a new brand named "Duet." The poster features a computer-generated caricature of a broadly smiling figure resembling Obama standing in front of the U.S. Congress with the ice cream in the foreground. The strapline reads: "It's on everyone's lips -- the Dark is in the White!"

Do you suffer from a bad case of Obamunism? Take our simple test to find out. You might be an Obamunist if: You have tingles running up your legs when President Obama reads from a TelePrompTer.You believed excessive government spending on President Bush’s watch was going to bankrupt the country (What about the deficit? Think of The Children!), but President Obama’s spending us into oblivion is actually going to save us.You thought President Bush’s cabinet members were evil, (Rice, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, etc.) but Obama’s rogue’s gallery of tax cheats and Bush holdovers is no big deal. You believe President Bush’s “war...

I read a disturbing story that showed advancement of the "well funded" civilian security force that candidate Barak Obama promised, and President Obama appears to deliver. The bill is passing under the guise of "volunteer" work, but would be mandatory. The bill stipulates that middle-school children would be required 50 hours per year, high schoolers 100 hours per year, and so on through college. The program included uniforms that the children will wear. I ask, why not ad a spiffy arm band with, perhaps the Obama emblem for good measure. This program will also enlist adults on up to seniors....
