Secularists believe that they have the right view of America. They are convinced that America should be a secular state or a godless state. They believe that religion was not a decisive factor in the formation of the Constitution of the United States and therefore, this proves that the framers of the Constitution did not want religion to influence public policy. Simply put, politics and religion don't mix. Government and religion should be kept as far apart as possible. There are several historical "facts" secularists use to support their views. Apparently, one of the most important historical facts is the...

Destroying the unqualified and unjustified myth that "only religious fanatics oppose Darwinism", Dr. William Dembski's collection of essays presents a powerful and convincing case that exposes the many flaws and problems of Darwinism. Rather than having an agenda, the intellectuals that contributed to Uncommon Dissent exemplify the objective, rational, and scholarly manner in which they have both examined the various evolutionary theories and exposed these theories' many inconsistencies, oversights, and errors. The eloquence and thoroughness with which these essays critically analyze the Darwinian dogmas reveal that fanatical devotions to unproven theories are prevalent mainly in the mainstream secular scientific community...

I had the recent displeasure of appearing before the local chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, many if not most of whose members appeared to me to be committed atheists. The forum was supposed to consider "A candidate's religion. When does it matter?" But the discussion quickly disintegrated into an ugly attack on religion by the godless majority in the room. By the time the evening was over, I knew how the Christians felt when they were fed to the lions. Now, I'm no holy roller. I do not expect everyone to share my religious faith....

Has Antony Flew ceased to be an atheist? In a sensationalist campaign in the internet, it is alleged that Professor Antony Flew, British philosopher, reputed rationalist, atheist and Honorary Associate of Rationalist International, has left atheism and decided that a god might exist. The controversy revolves around some remarks of Prof. Antony Flew that seems to allow different interpretations. Has Antony Flew ever asserted that "probably God exists"? Richard Carrier, editor in chief of the Secular Web quotes Antony Flew from a letter addressed to him in his own hand (dated 19 October 2004): "I do not think I...

Conservatives and other normal people can politely note all we want that the Founding Fathers quite deliberately intended a benevolent and providential Creator to be at the heart of our concept of liberty and of law, and Leftists will not budge one inch as long as compliant judges conspire with them to treat the faithful majority like the Cossacks treated the Russian people under the last Romanov. A minority, a distinct minority, of Americans believe that God should be driven out of any school or civic activity. Those who maintain that the language in the foundational document of the American...

I HAVE always believed that the biggest dummies at Madame Tussauds are the mug tourists, queuing around the block for a chance to gawp at a bunch of unconvincing, end-of-the-pier waxworks. Now it turns out that the biggest dummies in the place are running the joint. Madame Tussauds' contribution to the festive spirit is a nativity scene, featuring David Beckham as Joseph and Posh Spice as the Virgin Mary. Amazing that they didn't think to have Rebecca Loos extracting a semen sample from one of the stable animals. You don't have to be a Bible-bashing religious maniac to find this...

Hello, Within the next year we will be either painting our house exterior ourselves or we will pay a contractor. Does anyone have any opinions on spray on siding? It is supposed to last forever and resist mold.
