I HAVE always believed that the biggest dummies at Madame Tussauds are the mug tourists, queuing around the block for a chance to gawp at a bunch of unconvincing, end-of-the-pier waxworks.
Now it turns out that the biggest dummies in the place are running the joint.
Madame Tussauds' contribution to the festive spirit is a nativity scene, featuring David Beckham as Joseph and Posh Spice as the Virgin Mary.
Amazing that they didn't think to have Rebecca Loos extracting a semen sample from one of the stable animals.
You don't have to be a Bible-bashing religious maniac to find this pathetic little tableau incredibly offensive. The Pope doesn't like it, and neither do I. Would the dummies at Madame Tussauds be quite so blithe about insulting Islam or taking the p**s out of Judaism?

I am all for a merry little secular Christmas, where we remember the true meaning of this time of year. You know, mindless materialism, grotesque overindulgence and mince pies all round.
But in what is still a nominally Christian country, why is Christianity the only religion that it is OK to openly mock?
The Home Secretary has plans on his desk to make inciting religious hatred a crime. That's fine. But do you imagine these new laws are designed to protect Christianity or Christians? Of course not. This is one of the few countries in the world where you are free to worship any God you choose.
When it comes to our neighbours' religious beliefs, the British believe in tolerance, free speech and complete indifference.

Actually I found the exhibit relatively harmless. There's infinitely more malice at the Daily Mirror than at Madame Tussaud's. You wouldn't find them objecting to any of the really serious attacks against Christianity.
Easy. It's the only one that threatens Ole Scratch.
I think the point is that if they were mocking Islam then the MSM and the Muslims would be in an uproar.

The religious group that owns Hollyweird has a free pass to crap on all Christian religions: The Flyinmg Nun (HaHaHaHa)...Church Woman (haHaHaHa) etc.
Their complaints about defamation are a two way street....Now be fair here!!!!!!Did you ever see..on any TV show, any other religious sign around some fallen woman's ( whore if you like) throat but a cross?

Those don't qualify. 'slam isn't a religion. It's a political death cult with some of the trappings of a religion.
