College applicants are being rejected for merely following the Alex Jones account on Twitter, a digital privacy expert has warned. Bradley Shear, who runs the Shear on Social Media Law blog, claims one of his clients was rejected from a prestigious college after an admissions interviewer scoured the student’s social media account and found he followed Alex Jones on Twitter. While one of my legal clients (a 17 year old teen) was being interviewed by one of the most competitive colleges in the country he was asked why he was following Alex Jones on Twitter. My client, a teenager expected...

Alex Jones Banned! Is This An Attack On Free Speech? ft. Tommy Sotomayor (Live now!)
-
Rather than articulate a clear standard by which the conspiracy theorist could be banned, Facebook and its competitors cited vague prohibitions on ‘hate.’ OK, let's say it -- Alex Jones is a full-fledged kook. This is a man who called Special Counsel Robert Mueller a “monster” controlling an unnamed pedophilic gang, and then added, “Politically, you’re going to get it, or I’m going to die trying, bi**h. Get ready. We’re going to bang heads.” This is a man who suggested that the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre never occurred, and then claimed that victims were “child actors.” This is a fellow...

How do we strike back against these Big Tech goliaths who are censoring out any non-conformist (read: non-left wing) posting on their forums? How can we bring them down?

I am FB friends with Matt Abbott (profile), a Catholic journalist who writes most regularly for Alan Keyes' Renew America. He has been prolific over the years on the subject of (homo)sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. He posted this: To which I responded "Criminal homosexuals should stick together. They got each other's backs." Facecrook's algorithm must be very quick these days, because in less than 5 minutes, I got these concurrent responses from FB: When I signed up with Facebook, it was a an open forum where anyone could discuss their beliefs--their politics, articles etc. as long as it...

Social media giant Twitter continues to come under criticism from pro-life advocates and conservatives over its censorship. In the latest case, Twitter suspended the account of a conservative blogger known for her pro-life opinions despite not producing any evidence to substantiate its claims she abrogated twitter policies. Kathleen McKinley is a Texas-based conservative blogger who is outspoken about her pro-life views and her viewpoints on other hot political issues. Although she is very civil and respectful in her conversations with others, Twitter on Friday suspended her account. However, the social media company provided no indication as to why her account...

A giant balloon dubbed "Trump baby" has been given the green light to fly near parliament during the president's UK visit. London mayor Sadiq Khan's Greater London Authority has approved a request for the flight after thousands signed a petition and a crowdfunding campaign raised more than £16,000 to get the six-metre inflatable off the ground.

The #WalkAway campaign began on Facebook after a handsome, gay hairdresser from New York named Brandon Straka posted a video last month explaining why he was walking away from the Democrat party. People are leaving the Democrat party in droves because all they have to offer is violence, intolerance, divisiveness and hatred. Brandon Straka’s videos are so popular that he is beginning to get recognized in public. On Thursday, Brandon Straka went into a camera shop to purchase some new supplies when he was abused by leftists working there; they recognized him and refused him service.

At least three suspected rhino poachers have been killed by a pride of lions after they broke into a game reserve in South Africa. Rangers discovered human remains around 4:30 p.m. local time on July 3 in the immediate vicinity of the lions’ territory at the Sibuya Game Reserve in Kenton-on-Sea in the Eastern Cape, more than 24 hours after an anti-poaching dog alerted her handler that something was amiss. *snip* The ranger however did not examine the disturbance further because it was not unusual to hear the lions at night. When members of the anti-poaching unit investigated, they recovered...

An Alabama man who yelled “womp womp” and waved a gun at people protesting the separation of migrant families appeared in court on Monday on charges of reckless endangerment and menacing, officials said. Mr. Sealy was released on bond. At about noon on Saturday, Mr. Sealy began heckling a gathering of approximately 150 to 200 people at a public park in Huntsville, a city of about 190,000 people in...

Sheri Williams Jones, 57, turned herself in Monday at the Cumberland County Detention Center in the 2015 murder of 61-year-old Clarence Smith, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office didn’t say why it took three years for Jones to be charged for the shooting, which she claimed at the time was in “self-defense.”
