"White privilege" (their term for self-sufficient productive people) is a direct result of our American heritage and Judeo-Christian work ethic and free market economy. America was founded on the Judeo-Christian principles of liberty, freedom, self-sufficiency, self-responsibility, self-governance, respect for God, respect for self, for each other and the law, civic responsibility and the value of family, church, tradition, education and hard work. The liberal/progressive/atheist/socialist democrats have been working overtime for a hundred years or more trying to tear all that down. They are teaching our children that there is no God, that government is all powerful and will provide for...

The University of North Carolina at Wilmington employed a former domestic terrorist for several decades and no one seemed to care. Dr. James Reeves was a member of the Weather Underground domestic terror group back in the 1960s. By the end of the decade, Reeves was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, promotion of anarchy, assault with intent to commit murder, and receiving stolen goods. He was indicted on charges of stealing a rifle and firing it into the Cambridge Police headquarters near the campus of Harvard University. When a witness recanted, the charges relating to the attack on the...

EDEN, N.C. – “White privilege” training in the Rockingham County school system is causing a lot of headaches. Superintendent Rodney Shotwell told Rockingham Now the state threatened to withhold federal funding when a disproportionate number of minority students were suspended in a special exceptional children’s program in 2012 and 2013, so district leaders implemented mandatory “equity training” for school staff. Now, some teachers are complaining that the training materials focused on white privilege and transgender issues violate their principles, while parents are speaking out about other teachers who are taking what they learned and imposing it on students. At a...

Justus Walker was enjoying his Grade 11 class in sociology. Then came the lesson on white privilege. The teacher handed out a checklist with instructions for the students to score themselves on how much of it they had. The questions included things such as: “I can go into a supermarket and find the staple foods which fit with my cultural traditions.” The answers would determine their “privilege points.” After they had completed the exercise, the students were asked to line up in order, from least points to most, and discuss the impact of white privilege on their lives. Some of...

Editor's Note: This blog originally appeared at Academe Blog, the blog of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP). A decade or more ago, at a faculty party in New York City, I listened in as a diverse group of faculty spoke casually and disparagingly of "hillbillies," "rednecks" and "white trash." I reminded them that they were speaking of my own people (my ancestry is completely Appalachian), though they shouldn't really be demeaning any group, no matter who might be around. I was met by fish-eyed responses, including the comment, "Well, you left there." My experience is not unusual. Author...

Whether it’s racial, economic, gender or sexual orientation, there will always be prejudice and discrimination. But the idea that this discrimination is institutionalized is ludicrous and downright harmful To listen to the juvenile whack-jobs ranting about ‘white privilege’ one would think that black slavery was still pretty much alive and well in America. The latest pabulum maintains that white people merely have to show up, blow their white folks’ dog whistle and wealth and power just falls into their laps. Except that it doesn’t. My own personal experience as a white guy who came from a dirt-poor family is just...

The idea of white privilege” is a distinctly American idea. Not only that, it is also a distinctly “White Privileged” idea, that could only have been come up with by someone who can neither think clearly nor empathise with the real plight of others. And what’s worse, this pernicious idea is creating two underclasses in society. Young blacks who feel that if white privilege exists, then surely there must be such as thing as black underprivileged. And young whites, who feel that any successes they have may be due to their over privilege.. The truth is that all the young...

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Outrage has grown at Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, as the school faces layoffs and increased class sizes due to a law limiting funds for schools with a higher white student body. The Los Angeles Unified School District provides more funding for schools where the white population is below 30 percent. In a letter to parents, the district noted the highly regarded middle school had been above the percentage for the past couple years. The racial formula was a condition imposed by court decisions dealing with desegregation in the 1970s. Parents, however,...

A campus flier hung at Scripps College advises students of color to charge their white peers for “emotional labor” inflicted upon them — referring to the effort exerted when a student of color corrects or educates a white student in some manner. “Charge for your services,” the flier states. “If you’ve decided you’re going to do it, at least get paid.”

A former Black Lives Matter activist is making stunning accusations against fellow agitators in an unprompted YouTube video.Trey Turner, who says he protested police killings in St. Paul, Minnesota, created a video to expose what he learned while he was active with the group.Turner said he joined Black Lives Matter after the shooting of Jamar Clark last March, and that he was a part of the “4th Precinct shutdown.” He said he joined because activists insisted the movement was peaceful and “didn’t hate whites.” According to Turner, he was an active participant in the protests at the governor’s mansion after...

A recent story that has received almost no media attention, shows that Liberal propaganda is alive and well on U.S college campuses. Even worse is that the peddlers of propaganda (in this case an associate professor of the practice of leadership, spirituality, and intercultural studies), are relying on the student’s lack of education and critical thinking skills to push and cement their agenda.

Students at Elizabethtown College this month are wearing white pins in the shape of puzzle pieces to remind them of their white privilege. The campaign was launched over the weekend by the Elizabethtown College Democrats, who say it aims to make students at the small and private liberal arts college in Pennsylvania more introspective about issues of race, especially in their predominantly white region of Lancaster County.

The Women’s March was, by most reported measures, a success. Though it remains to be seen what the organization’s subsequent “10 Actions/ 100 Days” campaign will yield, it succeeded most at what I’m guessing the vast majority of participants assumed the march was about: making it clear to Donald Trump that he does not have a mandate and his attempt to govern via bigoted, impetuous policies will be met with resistance. On Saturday I attended the march in Los Angeles and can’t say I began the day with much enthusiasm, especially when compared to the downright giddiness I witnessed from...

A spokesman for the University of Wisconsin-Madison has shrugged off concerns over one of its students selling hoodies bearing the phrase “All White People Are Racist” in capital letters. “In this case, the individuals involved are exercising their rights to free speech and engaging in a private activity unrelated to their status as students,” campus spokesman John Lucas said in an email to The College Fix. Asked a second time to weigh in on the matter, Lucas gave the same answer. The hoodies are the brainchild of an entrepreneurial UW-Madison undergraduate who recently began selling sweatshirts online—in Wisconsin red—which proclaim:...

According to Misao Dean, Professor of English at the University of Victoria, the canoe can be a symbol of colonialism, imperialism and genocide due to history. She also accused the canoers of cultural appropriation because they are primarily white men and have a privileged place in society. In a radio interview for CBC Radio, which wasn’t picked by the Internet until several months later, she claimed “we have a whole set of narratives that make the canoe into a kind of morally untouchable symbol, something that seems natural, that seems ordinary, and seems to promote values that we ascribe to.”
