At least seven people were shot in three boroughs across New York City overnight, police say. Three teenagers were shot in a Bronx playground at about 11 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen, a 14-year-old girl shot in the left thigh and an 18-year-old boy hit in the upper chest.

A man and a woman were randomly attacked in the Bronx in separate incidents after a knife-wielding madman walked up to them and slashed them across the face and neck, cops said. The suspect approached both victims within 24 hours of each other on the same street in Williamsbridge. He never said a word to either victim and didn’t try to steal anything, cops said.

63-year-old man was stabbed on a Manhattan subway train Sunday after trying to hush a rowdy throng of eight women, cops said.
