DELAWARE, Ohio (WTVN) -- A Westerville woman faces a number of charges after deputies say she sprayed them with breast milk following an argument at a wedding reception. Deputies received a report of a fight and responded to the Bridgewater Banquet Facility on Sawmill Parkway early Saturday morning. They found 30-year old Stephanie Robinette, who had apparently locked herself inside a car, along with the woman's husband and witnesses who say Robinette got drunk and had struck the man a number of times after an argument. Methodist pastors who have defied a church ban on marrying gays were dealt a setback Wednesday when clergy members hearing a church trial found a colleague from Osceola, Wis., guilty of marrying a lesbian couple in 2009. The 13-person jury of clergy members unanimously convicted the Rev. Amy DeLong. They found the 44-year-old not guilty of a second charge of being a "self-avowed practicing homosexual." A jilted bride-to-be was dragged to safety after threatening to leap from a seventh-story window after her fiancé married another woman, Reuters reported. Dressed in her wedding gown, a college student identified only as Miss Li climbed out on the window ledge of the building in Changchun city in northeast China. Tamera Mowry has confirmed she married Fox News Channel correspondent Adam Housley in Napa Valley, Calif. People.com said the couple's wedding took place Sunday at an inn and vineyard in front of about 300 guests. Among Mowry's eight attendants was her twin sister and matron of honor Tia Mowry. "I've always wanted an outdoor wedding with lots of flowers," Mowry told People.com. "I feel so lucky to have this beautiful day marrying my best friend." Off with their hats! It was bigger than the Super Bowl and as tacky as a legion of Elvis impersonators. Most of all, it was disturbingly white. Yesterday's little wedding of William and Kate, a worldwide showcase of dreadful hats, fad diets and an unusually sour, lemon-yellow-clad queen, was designed to prove to the common man that the royals, finally, were down with the people. But from the moment a triumphant Kate tiptoed with her dad onto the red carpet -- yes, she walked an actual red carpet to and from the altar -- I saw not a potential queen....

Instead of spending another day immersed in Middle Eastern names, culture, religion, death and destruction, the world was treated to western culture, etiquette and a Christian gathering in the House of the Lord, to celebrate the marriage of a man and a woman who love one another. It was a beautiful ceremony, in a beautiful setting. It was uplifting. It was a happy, joyous day. I wish the newlyweds a loving and productive life. Queen Elizabeth can take a bow now that the British royal family will be in good hands after she's gone.

We sat down at 9.30am and watched the whole thing until THE KISS four hours later. Didn’t intend to. At my age this history/politics junkie tends towards the cynical and, of course, being a man prefers to maintain a cool mask of disdain while the ladies wax lyrical over weddings and babies. Plus I’m always suspicious of crowds. But the sheer enthusiasm and goodwill of the people who came to watch disarmed my pessimism.
