Methodist pastors who have defied a church ban on marrying gays were dealt a setback Wednesday when clergy members hearing a church trial found a colleague from Osceola, Wis., guilty of marrying a lesbian couple in 2009.
The 13-person jury of clergy members unanimously convicted the Rev. Amy DeLong. They found the 44-year-old not guilty of a second charge of being a "self-avowed practicing homosexual." That vote was 12-1.
After the verdicts were announced in Kaukauna, Wis., church officials heard a second round of testimony to help jurors recommend a penalty that could range from suspension to defrocking. Their decision was expected to be announced this Thursday morning.

That’s not a headline you would have seen 30 years ago. My, how far have we drifted.
What does a gay guy need a lesbian wife for?
Who writes these headlines?!
Well, it’s crazy, I know. But, the term “gay” can mean either male or female. In this story, since the pastor is female, she was the gay pastor. It would have been clearer if they labeled her as lesbian.
But I do get confused when we get into the trans-whatever categories, and I honestly don’t want to know who these people are and what they do. I’ve heard that some have had operations to cut off certain things, and some dress like they are of the oppposite sex, but still have body part intact. I really don’t want to hear about all of that.
Some subjects in the LGBT community should be left in a closet.
so then who is the husband, who is the wife,??? I have a lesbian sister inlaw who is ‘married’ to her lover, they trade off who has the male organ depending on what holiday it is.
their lifestyle is gross, and weird. I cannot understand it. other than it is pure perversion.
Then how could they possible not find her guilty of being a "self-avowed, practicing homosexual"?
It's amazing, but in every lesbian relationship I've observed over any period of time, there is always a "man" and a "woman". I've never once seen a lesbian relationship like the one portrayed on Friends where both women were feminine.
yes they switch off
who is the man or woman
