Sad. I always really enjoyed him on the Fox Business panel shows. And really appreciated his courage to stand up as a conservative, coming from the Hollywood world. I always found it interesting that he chose to dive into the seemingly mundane world of finance and business after being part of the entertainment world. That, to me, made him a real original. That he was pretty much a solid conservative, all the more so. RIP. Hank

LOS ANGELES – Wayne Rogers, whose Trapper John McIntyre alongside Alan Alda's Hawkeye Pierce brought mischief, martinis and meatball surgery to the masses in the 1970s every week on "M.A.S.H.," has died. The actor was surrounded by family when he died Thursday in Los Angeles of complications from pneumonia at age 82, his publicist and longtime friend Rona Menashe told The Associated Press. Rogers' army surgeon Trapper John was one of the most beloved characters -- and half of one of the most beloved duos -- in TV history, despite the actor's appearing in only the first three of the...

Actor Wayne Rogers died on Thursday from complications from pneumonia, his rep exclusively tells ET. He was 82 years old. Rogers, who hailed from Alabama, is best known for playing the role of Captain "Trapper" John McIntyre in the classic television series M*A*S*H from 1972-1975. He also had recurring roles in City of Angels, House Calls, and Murder, She Wrote.
  • Question: Wayne Rogers (former M*A*S*H star) is a Stock Market Expert?

Watching Business News this weekend on Fox, I see one of the "experts" in the roundtable discussion is Wayne Rogers, the actor who starred in the TV series "M*A*S*H" in the early 70s. What is up with that? Did he quit acting and become a broker? Unusual to see a Hollywood type get into a generally conservative area like Wall Street. Can anyone shed light on this guy? Most of the M*A*S*H guys are uber-liberals: Alan Alda, feminist extraordinaire and Mike Farrel the smug anti-war clown, for instance.
