The killers tortured Sanchez to hand over his apartment keys, then raided the property: they told his niece, with whom he lived, they were Tren de Aragua.. Tren de Aragua is one of the most feared gangs in Latin America: it was born in Venezuela around 2012, and the Miami murder is the first by the gang in the US ... When most voters go to the ballot box, the candidates running for district attorney are typically the least of their concerns. Many people vote for D.A.s by party affiliation without looking deeper. This is a huge mistake that is costing voters and/or family members life and limb. The current lawlessness in many major and even small cities across America has become epidemic. One need look no further than the sitting district attorneys in these recusant cities and states to find out why. Former U.S. Attorney General Ed Meese from the Reagan Administration has warned us in The LELDF report, Prosecutorial...

What did Nancy Pelosi know? A prior plot or spontaneous riot? Were there inside facilitators? One thing recent history has taught America is the first storyline of major tragedies or controversies is never the most accurate. Americans were told by the Bush administration that they were sucker-punched by a surprise attack on 9/11 by terrorists, only to learn the CIA and FBI had significant advance evidence of the plot and its players and failed to connect the dots. Susan Rice originally told the nation that the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was carried out spontaneously by a mob...

A southern California criminal defense attorney is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly advocating that black people kill police officers and offering free representation to anyone willing to do so. Screenshots of Instagram posts from an account tied to attorney Mark McBride were obtained by Fox 11. "It won’t stop until black people start murdering cops, which they should do — often and with great relish. These c---sucking, low-iq, can’t get into law school jarheads need an asphalt nap, during which they bleed out on the streets where they’re shot down. I would have no problem...

“The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has provided oversight and recommendations for improvement of police services in a number of cities with consent decrees. This is one of the most effective ways to reduce discrimination in law enforcement and it needs to be beefed up and increased to cover as many of the 18,000-plus local law enforcement jurisdictions.” That was United Nations Rapporteur Maina Kai on July 27, a representative of the U.N. Human Rights Council, who on the tail-end of touring the U.S., endorsed a little-known and yet highly controversial practice by the Justice Department to...

As the former chief executive and elected Sheriff in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I always demanded professional conduct from my officers. It is crucial for the public to have trust and confidence in their law enforcement agencies. I stressed excellence—not perfection. It is important to realize that we are dealing with human beings and thus, the imperfection of the human condition. Like in any aspect of life, people are always going to fall short of what we expect. Your kids, even your spouse, will let you down at times. When in a position of trust like policing, a higher standard is warranted—so...

The Black Lives Matter crusade against the police continued to cost lives and destroy civil peace in 2016. Two recent estimates of violent crime in the nation’s largest cities show that murders and shootings remained on an upward trajectory this year, as officers backed off of proactive policing. The Brennan Center for Justice projects that murders in the 30 largest cities will be 14 percent higher in 2016 compared with 2015, a stunning increase coming as it does on top of 2015’s already massive homicide rise, which was 14.5 percent in all cities with populations over 250,000 and 20 percent...

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz admonished the Obama administration's interactions with law enforcement as creating a culture where police officers feel under attack. Cruz chaired a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing on Tuesday titled, "The war on police: How the federal government undermines state and local law enforcement." While Cruz was back in Washington, D.C., on official business, the senator wasted little time using the heated rhetoric he vents from the stump on the campaign trail. "Everyone here agrees that we should enforce the law and we should vigorously enforce America's civil rights laws. In any government organization, there can be bad...

The below article appears in our "Police Under Fire" special report. (Click here to download a PDF of the full report.) On December 18, 2014, President Obama signed an executive order creating the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing. In May 2015, the task force came out with its Final Report, which is commonly given the title “21st Century Policing.”One of the report’s recommendations, which the Obama-friendly media fixated on, concerns greater restrictions on transfers of military equipment to local police agencies. However, as we reported in a related article ("What's Happening to Our Police?"), the new “accountability” rules...

The below article appears in our "Police Under Fire" special report. (Click here to download a PDF of the full report.) The federal government has been busy creating unconstitutional agencies co-opting policing while simultaneously using a “carrot and stick” approach — unconstitutional federal aid and federal mandates — to absorb and coerce the local police, transforming them into instruments of an emerging national police force. This subversive transformation of America’s way of policing has been under way for a long time. The American ideal of local police — locally funded and locally controlled — whose job it is to protect the...

Harlem (1964). Watts (1965). East Coast, West Coast. A police shooting and an attempted arrest provide the pretexts for days of massive rioting, looting, arson, death, and destruction. Racism and police brutality, say the rioters/looters (and their supporters in political office, the media, and academia), are responsible for the violence and devastation. The Harlem riots provided the spark for additional riots that year in Chicago, Philadelphia, Rochester, and the New Jersey cities of Paterson, Elizabeth, and Jersey City. The war zone-like wreckage of Watts, a black neighborhood in Los Angeles, became the symbol “inspiring” similar rioting in more than...

In August 2014, in the immediate aftermath of a violent incident wherein police officer Darren Wilson fatally shot a young black man named Michael Brown, outraged and agenda-driven agitators — many from out of town — seized on the news as an excuse to run wild, steal, destroy property, and more. Businesses were burned to the ground and looted. Even a local church was not spared by the frenzied and violent mob. According to news reports, more than 160 gunshots were fired by “protesters,” too. At least one man died amid the chaos. Pictures that emerged after the late...

And as Sheriff David Clarke said last week, it is Obama himself who started the “War on Police”rhetoric top begin with. Well, today, Obama was in Boston for his Labor Day Speech, with hundreds of dignitaries invited, and police typically greeting the president after the event. Not this year. Because the Boston Police Union decided to show Obama what cops think of him…and BOYCOTTED it…leading Administration officials to send an angry response to the Mayor. From Gateway Pundit via Boston Herald: Jerry Flynn, a Lowell cop on leave while serving as executive director of the New England Police Benevolent Association,...
