A judge today ignored a plea deal calling for probation and sentenced four Democratic campaign workers to jail terms for their roles in the infamous Election Day 2004 tire slashing caper. The four - including the sons of U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) and former Acting Mayor Marvin Pratt - pleaded no contest to misdemeanors while an apparently deadlocked jury stalled over felony counts at the end of a January trial that received national coverage. A fifth Kerry-Edwards staffer accused of crippling Republican vans, Justin Howell, turned down the last-minute deal and was acquitted by the jury.

Guys and ladies...when does the 2004 election get certified and the vote totals finalized? Seems like in 2000 it took a awhile due to the Gore debacle, but seems to me that the sooner this gets done, the better.

ELECTION 2004 THOUGHTS The election is over. The only real poll was taken on November 2nd and it was not a sample. The largest numerical turnout in history spoke...Bush by 34 electoral votes (exactly what Texas is worth) and by 3.5 million votes. When I look at US presidential election results, one thing which strikes this foreigner is how uniformly left-wing the mega cities are. For instance, only 15% of votes from New York City area went to Bush. I never understand why this could take place. There must be some poeple who work in whatever jobs (finance, engineers, IT etc) and start thinking "Umm, social security system is broke and the Democrats are calling to maintain the status quo. President Bush is a principled man that has taken a stand against terrorism regardless of the political consequences to himself. He is open with his personal religion but maintains a policy of separation of state. He is truthful to a flaw. You know where he stands on issues and he is unwavering. He is a proven strong leader on defense of the nation, education, economy and technology.
