Why vote For Bush
Charlie D.

Posted on 09/19/2004 5:38:30 PM PDT by jyro

President Bush is a principled man that has taken a stand against terrorism regardless of the political consequences to himself. He is open with his personal religion but maintains a policy of separation of state. He is truthful to a flaw. You know where he stands on issues and he is unwavering. He is a proven strong leader on defense of the nation, education, economy and technology. He has funded more money to education, aids treatment, stem cell research and the VA than ANY other president. (It will never be enough) Many including myself decry the growing deficit but this truely a war and it's near impossible to pinch pennys with lives of soldiers on the line. He's by no means perfect, no one is. In retrospect, some things look so clear now that were SO cloudy at the time. You can count on President George Bush to do what he thinks is best for this country regardless of what other countries think. As in the past, he will ask other countries opinions and and accept their advice but the bottom line is what's best for the USA and that's where he stands strong. Lots of people try to mislead and spread lies about President Bush to promote their personal agendas, that's their right but it dosen't make it the right thing to do for the country. If you look at some of the posts here with a open mind and analyze them with a little research, you'll gravitate to the candidate nearest your views.

This is what I believe and I hope the majority of the country believes too. We'll see at election time.

After eight years of Bill Clinton, the U.S. was like a person who has had a heart attack, stopped breathing, and fallen down, suffering a compound fracture of the leg. At that juncture, you don't put a splint on the leg. You have to get him breathing first. If you can't get him breathing, the broken leg means nothing.

So Charlie D. believes that government subsidization of "education, aids treatment, stem cell research and the VA.... will never be enough."

Before Bush, conservatives and most Republicans had a clue as to the proper functions and extent of government.

here is one of my reasons:

"And, in the end,the reality is this. A few weeks ago, Prof Bernard Lewis, the great historian of the Muslim world, told Die Welt that "Europe will be Islamic by the end of the century". That seems demographically unavoidable.

Given that much of what we now know as the civilised world will be Muslim, it seems prudent to ensure that what is already the Muslim world is civilised. And, for those who say that Islam is incompatible with democracy, we might as well try to buck that in Iraq today than in France, Scandinavia and Britain the day after tomorrow."

This quote is the conclusion of a recent Mark Steyn article that can be found at:

"If you are a true rebuplican..."

If you must know, I am NOT a republican!
I'm a conservative. And I'm a registered "I".

And by the way...
President Bush is a principled man
He is open with his personal religion
He is truthful
He is a proven strong leader
You can count on President George Bush to do what he thinks is best for this country

(This is the part, being a conservative, that I'm not happy about.)
He has funded more money to education, aids treatment, stem cell research and the VA than ANY other president.
