  • Should Ted Cruz endorse Paul Nehlen against Paul Ryan? [vanity]

    05/06/2016 5:35:48 PM PDT · by ObamahatesPACoal · 43 replies
Did Cruz & Trump get 80% of Ryan's district? I think Trump should to, but he's at the top of the ticket and I don't know if Trump likes to go any further than berating people on twitter.

Everyone knows what's best for Trump. But they seem not to have known what it took to beat him. So they all lost. And now that the Nomination Fight is done, they're at it again, telling Trump WHAT he should say, and WHAT he shouldn't say, and HOW he should or should not say it. If they were as smart as they think they are, how come Trump’s the Nominee, and not one of them even came close? AND NOW WE HEAR . . . how the Bush’s and Romney won’t support Trump. They won’t even go to the Convention,...

I thought it might be a good idea to start a Trump ad suggestion box. This one would have the Ink Spots "I Don't Want to set the World On Fire" or..... https://youtu.be/bMMV_RoEMxE Pix of Benghazi; Khaddafi being torn apart by the mob who killed him > HRC "we came, we saw, he died".

Help needed from any who have Roku and are viewing Internet feeds on their smart TV. A poster was nice enough to offer help for my DH several weeks back in attempting to wire up our television to use as a monitor. Since, that time the files saved on the computer were lost during a storm. The computer fried and buried..sigh. No longer have that information. Please help once again. Both he and I would be most appreciative with any help given. TIA

  • My Theory on Kasich

Anyone else think Kasich must have had a gentlemen's agreement with Trump? Why else would he stay in the race for weeks/months after it was obvious his polls weren't going much higher? Though he didn't have much hope of winning, his staying in divided the "not Trump" vote, siphoning valuable votes and momentum away from Cruz. Just my two cents. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Kasich as the VP nominee, especially since he could deliver Ohio in November.

Last night and then again this morning I was watching clips of Ted Cruz's speech where he announced he was leaving the Republican Campaign. Upon reflection listening to this thing I was struck by how Cruz seemed to have lifted parts of Shakespeare's Henry the Fifth's St. Crispin's Day Speech and made it about him. It was kind of funny when I thought about it.

  • Time is now for Trump to pick Rubio for VP

    05/03/2016 6:58:48 PM PDT · by MagillaX · 233 replies
First the reason the time now to pick Rubio is to beat Hillary to the punch with picking an hispanic. Second reason why. It locks up almost all of the southern states. Rubio did well in Virginia and will also help in Nevada. This leaves Ohio for Trump to win. It also helps him compete in Minnesota and New Mexico. This will allow Trump to put resources in the some of the Northeast states making Hillary compete in states they would not normally compete in. Some argue for a women to cancel out the woman card or a black American....

I'll keep this vanity short ... Mods: please feel free to pull it if it's inappropriate. Why have so many here on FR turned on Ted Cruz in such a vicious way? We cheered when we first heard about Ted taking on the establishment in TX to win the primary in the race to fill Kay Bailey Hutchison's vacated Senate seat, in a bad year for the GOPWe cheered again when Ted exhorted us to 'Stand With Rand' when he offered public support for Rand Paul's filibuster over the NDAAOnce more, we cheered when he stood on the Senate floor and...

As a 5th generation Republican and Lifelong Conservative the political events of recent years have been frustrating. None are more frustrating than this election cycle. We prayed and hoped for a real Conservative to counter the leftward pull of Obama. We wanted someone to pull the country to the right so we could possibly be, at least, center America, where we typically like to land in national politics. We have had several Conservative candidates this cycle, but many who have called themselves "Conservative" have coalesced behind a man who is the farthest thing from Conservative as is imaginable and why?...
  • I Love The TV Coverage of the Radical Mexican Anti-Trump Rioters. (Vanity)

I love it every time TV news shows the radical, beer swilling, welfare-taking, Obamacare-abusing, anti-American Mexican/Hispanic rioters at Trump rallies. Every time a TV watcher, especially the undecided voters, sees these people cursing Trump, cursing the United States, and waving the Mexican flag, those viewers are going to say to themselves, Trump is right, send the thankless SOBs back to Mexico! Let them riot, 'cause it's about to be "adios, baby."

I wasn't able to post on the Trump threads today because of this work thing, you know, fedgov frowns on that stuff, but I was watching and reading. I really, really believe these protesters are proving Trumps point and he gained several thousand supporters today in Kalifornia and Indiana. These protesters are shooting themselves in the foot, but the action is just beginning. I say, at some point in the future, Cleveland perhaps, or sooner, someone is going to die. Then all hell will break loose. To make myself clear, I will crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump...

The year was 2012. Zero was running for reelection and the Repubs desperately needed a better candidate than they fielded in 2008 if they were going to regain the White House. As usual, Freepers were posting articles and comments about the upcoming election, the candidates running for the Republican nomination, how to defeat Zero, etc. During the primary season of 2012 Free Republics owner enthusiastically campaigned against one of the candidates, Mitt Romney. If the only information that you had about Romney was what FR's owner posted you would have had to conclude that Romney was pure evil concentrated. However,...

I have a message for all the Trumpsters. Your behavior and antics in the past couple of months, and the antics of your "savior", The Donald, have made my decision about who to vote for, and who NOT to vote for in November easy. If your guy is the nominee for the Republican Party, he WILL lose in November, and YOU WILL OWN IT. Because I will NEVER vote for that statist socialist, parasitic, steaming pile of obama. Now, I've been told that JimRob is banning anyone who states publicly that they will not vote for trump. So be it....
