Makes sense. Especially with backing from Obama. Politics aside, who would want to end a 50-year career in such an ignominious and embarrassing fashion.
He needs to continue to raise money, so when he drops out he can keep the unspent money for himself - not just 10% for the “big guy” but 100% for the big guy.
After all, nursing homes cost a lot at the level of care he will be needing.
If, after all this, he still manages to win in November, it will be seen as the greatest comeback in American history since Lincoln winning the Presidency.
