Something stinks at the University of Missouri. A reported incident of vandalism at Mizzou sparked university-wide protests, a boycott by the school’s 4-5 football team, and eventually the resignation of the university’s president and chancellor. There’s only one problem: no evidence of the alleged incident, in which a poop swastika on the wall of a dormitory restroom was reported, has ever been made publicly available. Did this incident occur as reported, or was it an immaculate defecation that formed the foundation of an unimaginable deception?

The student protest at the University of Missouri began as a response to a serious problem — outbursts of vile racism on campus — and quickly devolved into an expression of a renewed left-wing hostility to freedom of expression. COLUMBIA, Mo. ­— University of Missouri Provost Garnett Stokes announced today that Chuck Henson, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Trial Practice in the MU School of Law, has been named as Interim Vice Chancellor for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, effective immediately. “We’re pleased that Professor Henson has agreed to serve in this very important and crucial role at our university,” Stokes said. “We’re looking forward to working with him as we continue to make Mizzou an inclusive and welcoming community for everyone who teaches, works and studies here.”

Following in the media-hostile tradition of Black Lives Matter, a student journalist named Tim Tai, who was working for ESPN, was accosted and intimidated by the crowd, who attempted to block him from doing his work. Ah the 1960’s: the decade of America’s counter-cultural revolution.  Youthful revolutionaries circa 1960 found fault with America’s materialism and sought to improve society’s inequities tied to race, class, and gender. A University of Missouri professor is filing a lawsuit against the school for prohibiting guns on campus, in what is aimed to be one of the first tests of the state’s newly amended constitution that provides for “strict scrutiny” of gun restrictions. Royce de R. Barondes, who is an associate professor of law at the University of Missouri, is challenging the campus’ policy that “the possession of firearms on university property is prohibited except in regularly approved programs or by university agents or employees in the line of duty.”

In the midst of a veritable buffet of key college football games, there's a movement afoot in Missouri that could have long-lasting reverberations across the sport.
