During a portion of an interview with CBS released on Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stated that President Trump’s tweet about former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was designed to “undermine” Yovanovitch and that President Trump’s “insecurity” means that “he has to diminish everyone else.” Pelosi said Trump was tweeting about Yovanovitch because “he knows — he made a mistake, and he knows her strength, and he was trying to undermine it. Of course, presidents appoint ambassadors, but people don’t insult people, especially when they’re giving testimony before the Congress of the United States.” (snip) Pelosi answered, “What...

Former Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden went to bat for her son, Hunter, during an exclusive interview with NBC News on Monday. According to Jill, President Donald Trump wanting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate her husband, former Vice President Joe Biden, and son "is just flat-out wrong." “What goes through your head when you hear this weekend Republicans on Capitol Hill talking about bringing your son and bringing your husband potentially to testify in an impeachment hearing and impeachment trial?” host Mike Memoli asked. Dr. Biden argued that Republicans wanting to hear from Hunter and Joe "plays right into...

The headlines for the 2020 Democratic primary election polls are still the same — Joe Biden is well ahead of everybody else — but the most interesting trend is the uptick in support for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), the first major candidate to announce way back in December. Warren, who had been lagging with just 4 percent in a March Quinnipiac University poll, reached 13 percent in their latest survey, nearly matching Sen. Bernie Sanders at 16 percent with Biden in the lead at 35 percent. Looking across multiple polls paints a clearer picture of Biden’s lead — but also...

He didn’t immediately back the entire Green New Deal or call for single-payer health care. He stressed values and his experience. He’s former Vice President Joe Biden. He has entered the race for president as a values-oriented moderate and offers Democrats a real choice in primaries that have so far been dominated by candidates who have pandered to more extreme elements of the party. He waited to announce his intention to seek his party’s nomination until later in the year — generally, a smart decision for someone leading in the polls as the last thing he wants to be is...

Former Vice President Joe Biden surged again to earn 40% support in the latest Morning Consult poll released Tuesday. The presidential primary front-runner had earned 30% support just two weeks ago, but his support increased to 36% in last week’s Morning Consult weekly tracking poll and appears to be increasing exponentially.

Joe Biden holds a 30-point lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the Democratic presidential field, according to a Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey released exclusively to The Hill, further signaling that the former vice president is cementing his place as the primary contest’s front-runner. Forty-four percent of Democratic voters surveyed said they are most likely to vote for Biden in the 2020 Democratic primaries. Sanders comes in second place at 14 percent, while Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) places third with just 9 percent, the poll found.

In an interview with Robin Roberts of ABC’s Good Morning America, Biden was asked if he had his own motto for his 2020 run. He said: “Make America moral again. Make America return to the essence of who we are, the dignity of the country, the dignity of people, treating our people with dignity… End this God-awful deliberate division that is being taken in order… separating people to aggrandize his own power.”

Anita Hill made her claim to fame by accusing Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment during his confirmation hearing back in 1991. The Left painted Thomas as a misogynistic monster despite the glaring contradictions, lies and lack of evidence to support such a narrative. The U.S. House and Senate dismissed the baseless accusations presented by Hill, confirmed Thomas to the court, and the public largely viewed Hill as discredited. Despite all this, the Left, through HBO, continues to smear Thomas for the irredeemable sin of being conservative while being black. On April 16 a slanderous film called Confirmation, a “fictionalized...

The Democratic Party's savior has arrived. White-haired, wizened-faced, cleft-chinned, liver-spotted Joe Biden, the shriveled and pale second banana to Barack Obama, has entered the presidential race to all the dry acclaim Morning Joe viewers can muster. If you close your eyes and focus your imagination, you can almost picture Biden walking out on stage at a ritzy fundraiser to muted applause while an invisible announcer bellows, "Here's Joe!" Cue cheap crockery scratching against bone-china plates freighted with rubber chicken. Even at this late stage, with every Democrat from the senior senator of Minnesota to the mayor of Miramar, Florida vying...

If fundraising is any indicator, Biden is the man to beat. At least as of today, at least until he opens his mouth again. According to Biden’s campaign, they raised $6.3 million in the first 24 hours, ousting both Sanders and Beto who had impressive opening days, raising $5.9 million and $6.1 million, respectively. More from Politico: Biden’s campaign launch sent the Democratic digital fundraising world in general into overdrive: About $7.6 million flowed through ActBlue, the party’s preferred online donation processor, on Thursday, according to the site. The daily average in the first three months of the year was...

Democrat presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden may have already made his first campaign gaffe within hours of its launch, telling a reporter that his message to the world is that America used to be “straight.” Biden launched his presidential campaign early this morning with a video, and has already been subject to increased scrutiny for over the past few weeks after multiple women came forward alleging he had inappropriate physical contact with them that made them feel uncomfortable. Now, Biden may have already made his first campaign gaffe, as he told a reporter that under Biden, the...

A progressive political group that boosted New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's bid for Congress last year vowed to oppose former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, blasting him as part of the “old guard” and accusing him of standing in opposition to the “center of energy” in the Democratic Party. “While we're going to support the Democratic nominee, we can't let a so-called 'centrist' like Joe Biden divide the Democratic Party and turn it into the party of 'No, we can’t,’” the group Justice Democrats said Thursday. Biden announced his candidacy for president Thursday. He enters...
