Megyn Kelly said, 'I realize now I was part of this problem. My heart was in the right place. I wasn't trying to push anything bad on the kids. I thought I was being supportive of them. I thought I was promoting anti-bullying.' (LifeSiteNews) — Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has expressed contrition for having once supported transgender ideology. Having interviewed Isabelle Ayala, a 21 year old detransitioner first took cross-sex hormones at 14, and Ayala’s lawyer Jordan Campbell, Kelly made a passionate speech. “Remember that segment I did on the pronouns … when I was at NBC?” she...

“The Detransition Diaries: Saving Our Sisters” is a cautionary tale that exposes not only how influential the spread of trans ideology is on social media and in doctors’ offices, schools, and therapy sessions, but also how that same ideology weaponizes vulnerable young women’s identity struggle against them. The film from the Center for Bioethics and Culture documents the testimonies of three women — Helena, Cat, and Grace — who went through various forms of so-called “gender-affirming” prescriptions and procedures only to discover that the wrongly named “treatments” marketed to make them feel better about their bodies did more harm than good....
  • Moving to Canada: ‘Leaving Twitter’ Trends Amid Reports of Musk Deal Talks

Following reports that Elon Musk may be nearing a deal with the Twitter board to buy the company, leftist “verified” accounts on the platform once again went into meltdown mode at the prospect of the Musk, the self-described free speech absolutist, taking over. “Leaving Twitter” began to trend shortly after the reports of Musk-Twitter talks. Observers quickly noted the similarity in sentiment to loud declarations from prominent leftists that they would move to Canada if Donald Trump won the election in 2016 (few, if any, did). Charles Blow, a New York Times columnist who describes Trump supporters as “angry white...

Tumblr announced this week it will ban content featuring nudity from its platform, starting December 17. The decision was met with lots of backlash from users who view the site as a safe space to explore their identity and sexuality through not safe for work (NSFW) content. Many Tumblr users have said they plan to abandon the platform for alternative blogging websites that allow explicit content, some which can be found below. Tumblr says it's banning "adult content" from its platform in order to make "a better, more positive" place, but the policy change has some users abandoning the site....
  • The internet war on sex is here

During the Great Internet Sex War, that began in the United States during its Facebook Era, people were forced to stockpile their porn. Lube was bought by the drum and hidden in bunkers, alongside vibrators and air-gapped computers holding valuable troves of accurate, non judgemental sex information. Gimp suits were stored upright, oiled, and ready for doomsday's call. Explicit gifs became a black market commodity, and there were rumors of a Thunderdome ruled by cam girls. Every sexual identity, except the singular one deemed safe by the corporations, went into hiding. Fear prevented even the mere mention of sexual pleasure...

Tumblr will ban adult content from the platform starting Dec. 17, the company announced. This change will also get rid of Tumblr’s Safe Mode, the search filter designed to purge NSFW content from a query. Explicit written content, such as erotica, is still permitted as well. Tumblr will instead be focused on creating “the most welcoming environment possible for our community.” Tumblr has allowed NSFW content on its platform since the site launched in 2007. Earlier this year, under new management Tumblr will purge most NSFW content under new guidelines.

Those of you looking to download the Tumblr app (Android, iOS) on your iPhone or iPad are unable to get it for now. But the app's vanishing act isn't the result of a technical issue or glitch. Through independent sources, Download.com learned that the app was removed due to child pornography that got past the site's filters. When Download.com presented these findings to Tumblr, a company spokesperson responded with the following statement:

Infowars host Alex Jones has found a new platform to spew his hate speech. Social networking site Tumblr announced Wednesday that it was “closely monitoring” Jones’ Infowars page after other major companies kicked the serial harasser off their platforms. In a statement to HuffPost, Tumblr said it would not take immediate action to take down Jones’ page after he recently became active on the platform again. (Tumblr, HuffPost and AOL.com are both owned by Verizon.) “Alex Jones and Infowars had been inactive on Tumblr for nearly a year until this week when they began posting again,” the company said in...

Germany is set to start enforcing a law that demands social media sites move quickly to remove hate speech, fake news and illegal material. Sites that do not remove “obviously illegal” posts could face fines of up to €50 million (£44.3 million; $60 million). The law gives the networks 24 hours to act after they have been told about lawbreaking material. Social networks and media sites with more than two million members will fall under the law’s provisions. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube will be the law’s main focus, but it is also likely to be applied to Reddit, Tumblr and...

MEET THE BRAINS BEHIND OBAMA'S PLAN TO REGULATE THE INTERNET In the Wall Street Journal's stunning expose of how political operatives at the White House overruled the FCC's own experts to pave the way for this week's upcoming vote to regulate the Internet, we learned that the key link between a small group of liberal tech executives and President Obama was David Karp, the president of Tumblr. Specifically, the Journal reported:

Speed kills, and the iPhone goes from 0 to a good picture faster than anything else I was at Intel’s CES booth, composing a photo with my Android smartphone, when a pair of anonymous hands thrust a shining iPhone 6 Plus into my line of vision. A nonchalant tap of the camera shutter button later, the hands were pulling back, having captured a stupendously clear and sharp picture on the first attempt. By the time I’d completed my routine of setting proper focus and steadying myself, the dude who’d beaten me to a better shot with none of the effort...

Subway Manspreaders Told: Close Your Legs And Let Other People Ride Poster campaign will attempt to stop antisocial practice Doctors say crossing legs will not affect reproductive powers. Amanda Holpuch Saturday 20 December 2014 Comments As 2014 comes to an end, one thing New York commuters can expect in 2015 is an official city campaign against a growing problem: “manspreading”. Manspreading is the act or practice – typically male – of spreading one’s legs in a manner which prevents others from occupying nearby seats on the subway, commuter train or bus. A Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) spokesman, Kevin Ortiz, described...
  • #WomenAgainstFeminism Goes Viral as People Explain Why They Don't Need Feminism Anymore

A SOCIAL media trend #WomenAgainstFeminism is creating controversy overseas, going viral in the US and re-opening debate on how far women have really come. The movement originated from a Tumblr post in which photos have been posted of women holding up signs explaining why they don’t need feminism. The explanations vary from “I do like being feminine”, “catcalling isn’t rape”, “cooking for my husband is not oppression”, “I love to be sexy for my man”, to “I don’t need something that tells me the actions of a slut are okay”. Here’s a few posts we found on Twitter: The reaction...

  • 5 reasons why Yahoo is making a $1.1 billion mistake

It looks like Yahoo has offered to buy Tumblr for the sticker-shock price of $1.1 billion. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised, since just a few days ago Yahoo CFO Ken Goldman spoke about the need for the company (YHOO) to be "cool" again. But Yahoo shareholders invest for returns, not for cool. Yahoo employees have a big chunk of their net worth tied to their stock. It may be sexy for Yahoo to buy Tumblr, but will it have a positive return? I believe the answer is no. To be sure, the power of math and corporate finance can build...
