The FBI has taken heat for failing to immediately classify the San Bernardino shootings as terrorism, but a new report shows that FBI reluctance could have been due to external pressure from the White House. A source told Jack Murphy of SOFREP that the FBI instantly believed the shooting, which left 14 dead, to be a clear act of terrorism. The White House, however, didn't feel the same way and quickly moved in to squash the terror classification. This source added that as soon as the shooting took place, Obama convened a meeting with the National Security Council and the...

WASHINGTON - The commander of U.S. transportation and other logistics forces in Iraq said Friday that the number of roadside bomb strikes against his troops throughout Iraq has doubled in the past year. Army Brig. Gen. Yves J. Fontaine, commander of the 1st Corps Support Command, said the number of insurgent attacks along supply routes has grown to about 30 per week, although the U.S. casualty rate has declined because extra protective armor has been installed on supply trucks and other vehicles in the transportation fleet. Most of the attacks, he said, are in the so-called Sunni Triangle region that...

Dear St. Louis Freepers, I read a web page online that said suspicious men of Middle Eastern descent were reported Aug. 2002 at three separate fire stations in St. Louis. The men used video cameras to record the facility, asked suspicious questions about load capacity, emergency equipment and floor plans. All the men were chased away by the fire safety personnel. I've performed dozens of web searches to confirm this information but haven't found it anywhere. Can anyone in St. Louis confirm this? I'm building a report on terrorism and would greatly appreciate any help that comes my way. Thank...
