Palestinians in Gaza City slapped and taunted a Red Cross vehicle carrying Israeli hostages on Sunday evening, as armed Hamas terrorists looked on, according to Al Jazeera footage. The footage, circulated on social media, showed masked and armed Hamas terrorists, many riding pickup trucks in the same style used during the October 7 terror attack on Israel, when gunmen in trucks murdered Israeli civilians in communities near Gaza.

Sarah Palin found a novel way to turn down an interview request from Piers Morgan on Friday, posting a picture on Facebook of a bear she had shot dead and a note saying she was busy. During their joint press conference this afternoon in Jerusalem, President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mocked NBC’s Chuck Todd for asking too many questions. The two leaders dropped their own set of jokes to taunt Todd for asking at least five questions in a single sitting. “I want to follow up a little bit on the peace process. You began your term — first term, big fanfare — speaking to the Muslim world, the decision to have a Middle East envoy early, you said you weren’t going to let this slip to your second term.

You blew it, Mr President: Sarah Palin's pre-vote TV taunt to Barack ObamaBy Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 2:04 AM on 1st November 2010 Barack Obama's Democratic Party faces being swept from power in Washington by a ‘political earthquake’ in tomorrow’s U.S. mid-term elections, Sarah Palin claimed last night. ‘You blew it, President Obama,’ she taunted during a TV interview. ‘We gave you two years to improve the economy. The message has been sent to Democrats that they blew it.’ Most Americans want a ‘smaller, smarter’ government, the former Republican vice presidential candidate added. Pressure was piling up on...

Syria fires Scuds over Turkey 'to taunt US' By Tim Butcher, Middle East Correspondent (Filed: 04/06/2005) Syria has staged a defiant display of strategic firepower by test-firing Scud missiles for the first time in four years, Israeli security sources said yesterday. The officials, citing intelligence data, said the missiles, using North Korean technology and designed to carry chemical warheads, were launched last week from northern Syria. One missile was fired towards the Mediterranean, the Israeli officials said, and broke up over the Turkish province of Hatay, shedding debris over two villages. Israeli security sources said Syria's attempt to fire a...

FALLUJAH, Iraq (AFP) - Sporadic gunfire between US forces and Iraqi insurgents interrupted a tenuous ceasefire around the besieged Sunni Muslim city of Fallujah, an AFP correspondent said. Iraqi rebels hit earlier Thursday the Jordanian hospital grounds outside eastern Fallujah with two mortar rounds, US Lieutenant Colonel Brennan Byrne told AFP without giving further details of the attack. Byrne said his men were "definitely in the killing business now". As dusk fell US forces exchanged machine gun fire and bombarded parts of the city, west of Baghdad, with grenade launchers. In a weapons cache first discovered Wednesday forces unearthed 200...

Boomerang Diplomacy Friday, December 12, 2003; Page A36 YES, OF COURSE, President Bush's latest initiative on Iraq is arrogant and self-defeating. But that's not the most remarkable aspect of his decision to exclude companies from a number of countries that are important U.S. allies from bidding on reconstruction contracts. After all, a spiteful unilateralism has characterized the administration's handling of postwar Iraq all along, and it's an important reason why the United States must now face daunting military and political challenges nearly on its own. What's really strange about the administration's latest slap at Germany, France, Canada and other countries...

Since my last vanity announcement on keywords went so swimmingly (it ended up with something like 5000 keywords added to it) I thought a great idea would be to throw some propane on some other fires with a vanity. Breaking news is being abused again, big time. This goes in cycles, with sometimes people being responsible, but other times people not being very responsible. We are in one of the not-very time periods. Please, do not post something in Breaking News because you think it is something you want people to see. Place something in Breaking News only if it...
