Friends of Swinney Switch VFD set ice cream social The Friends of the Swinney Switch Volunteer Fire Department (FSSVFD) will hold their second annual homemade ice cream social on Saturday, July 18, from 5-8 p.m. at the Swinney Switch Center, Live Oak County Annex, 904 FM 3024, in Swinney Switch. The Swinney Switch Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary are sponsoring their 12th annual Wild Hog Cookoff on Saturday, April 17. The cooking competition will have monetary prizes and trophies for first, second and third place in three categories: Wild Hog, Beans and Pan de Campo.
