For the past 3 weeks, we have been having small pro-war rallies at a park here in La Palma, California. Although there weren't many of us, we sure were able to get a lot of support from passerbyers and drivers. We emphasize that the rally is PRO-WAR, and not a "support our troops" rally, as suggested by many. Great time at the rally today! We began around 4:00 pm and had people jumping out of their cars and grabbing signs and American Flags. What a great freep! We had approximately 65 people on our side of the "aisle" compared to about 10 "peacenicks". The bipartisan grassroots campaign, which started in Louisville, Kentucky, has sparked similar efforts in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, California and New Mexico. MADRID, Spain March 4 - Spanish lawmakers on Tuesday backed Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar's support for a U.S.-led war on Iraq, in a rare secret ballot in Parliament. Lawmakers in the Congress of Deputies endorsed the government's Iraq policy by a 183-164 vote. The San Antonio Rally to Support our Troops, sponsored and hosted by Glen Beck, was well attended despite a faint drizzle throughout the event. The 8,000 seat Verizon Wireless Amphitheater was only about 500 short of being filled to capacity. Because the surrounding streets to this venue are inadequate to heavy traffic, cars were backed up for at least a mile or more and people were still arriving 45 minutes after the scheduled start of 11:00. My son and I stood alone in Support of Our Troops today at the corner of Hwy 20 and 101 on the rural Oregon Coast. Around us were 20 or so Anti-war protestors.
