Planned Parenthood abortion business CEO Cecile Richards campaigned for Hillary Clinton over the weekend and said abortion activists should vote for her because pro-life supporters want to “get rid of Planned Parenthood.” Richards and the Clinton campaign have been joined at the hp from the beginning and Planned Parenthood made its first-ever presidential endorsement supporting Clinton. Richards campaigned at Brown University, the very liberal Ivy League school that is her alma mater and, as she always does, falsely equated opposing abortion with opposing health care for women: President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards ’80 spoke on campus Friday to advocate...

From Lauren Bianchi, of the pro-choice group FURIE: “I don’t know exactly when escorting started but it was a response to an awful wave of terrorism, when antiabortion protesters would chain themselves to the doors to keep people from getting in. Clinics are businesses. They don’t want people standing around outside. [Activists] thought they should be allowed to have clinic-defense protests. When I was an escort, I was told that patients can’t tell the difference [between protesting factions].” Aimee Levitt “Chicago feminist group FURIE takes on antiabortion marchers this Sunday” Chicago Reader FRIDAY, JANUARY 15, 2016

On Tuesday, the largest private health insurance provider in the U.S., United Healthcare, announced that it would be pulling its plans out of the ObamaCare exchanges in all but a few states. Among a continuing string of bad news for President’ Obama’s Affordable Care Act, this one should stand out as an indicator that the ACA’s collapse is accelerating. Conservatives need to be ready to explain why and to present solutions, because advocates for fully socialized medicine will be ready to turn the collapsing exchanges to their advantage. All of the deficiencies in Obamacare’s structure have been well documented. High...

Give it time. This guy will eventually admit that the country's largest insurer pulling out of most Obamacare exchanges augurs poorly for the fiscal health of the law he championed -- just as he finally got around to conceding that the 'Affordable' Care Act isn't controlling costs.  Nothing to see here, MSNBC viewers (via the Free Beacon): Obamacare architect Zeke Emanuel: UnitedHealth leaving exchanges isn't that big a dealEmanuel claims that this story is overblown because UnitedHealth wasn't a major player in the exchanges.  They were enough of a player to lose over $1 billion in 2015 and 2016, and their concerns about...

On Thursday, Williamson County Circuit Court Judge Michael Binkley rejected pro-abortion advocates’ efforts to invalidate Tennessee’s Amendment 1, which clarifies that the state Constitution contains no right to abortion. Abortion advocates had challenged the law, which voters enacted in 2014, on an interpretation of the state requirements for constitutional amendments that claims the number of “yes” votes must be equal to or greater than the number of people voting for governor plus one, and therefore only voters who voted in the gubernatorial race should have their votes on the amendment counted. The state countered by arguing that Amendment 1 was...

The Obama administration is once again threatening officials – this time in all 50 states – that cutting off Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid funding could be a violation of federal law.The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is sending a letter to all state Medicaid offices to warn that terminating specific providers – such as Planned Parenthood – can be done only if those providers fail to cover medical services or cannot bill for those services, reports the Washington Post.Marissa Padilla, a spokeswoman for the federal Health and Human Services department, said: CMS is sending a letter to all states...

Media freedom around the world has suffered a “deep and disturbing decline” due to by pressure from governments and businesses, an international media watchdog said Wednesday. The Paris-based Reporters Without Borders said in an annual report that many of the world’s leaders have developed “a paranoia” about journalism and are clamping down on the media, while coverage in privately-owned outlets is increasingly shaped by corporate interests. …

" Cavuto: do you think Trump is going too far? Cruz makes good comments back to a pressing Neil Cavuto. And Cruz comments about Nancy Pelosi over Planned Parenthood. An 8 minute video.

Planned Parenthood abortionists Mary Gatter and Deborah Nucatola were outed by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) whose undercover videos exposed Planned Parenthood’s gruesome baby parts operation. Ironically, they authored a research paper on Digoxin for inducing fetal death prior to second-trimester surgical abortion. Gatter was recorded telling Center for Medical Progress investigators that she wanted a Lamborghini. A look at Planned Parenthood’s compensation for Mary Gatter reveals that they paid her over ONE MILLION DOLLARS in less than 10 years for her work. In the CMP video, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Medical Directors’ Council President, Dr. Mary...

A newly released video shows a pro-life activist confronting a pastor who drove his daughter to work at a Northern California Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. Don Blythe has been involved in pro-life ministry for 32 years and regularly witnesses the Gospel outside abortion clinics. In his many years, he has also observed a disconnect in the church regarding abortion. Blythe told Live Action News that there are many church leaders today that are both participating in abortion as well as defending it. He personally confronted one such Pastor who drove his daughter to Planned Parenthood years ago. The interaction was...

**SNIP** Joined by Louisiana and Kansas, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the Obama administration Thursday seeking to overturn a fee imposed under the Affordable Care Act. The lawsuit seeks a refund of that amount and an order prohibiting future collections of the fee. Paxton says this is “functionally an unconstitutional tax on the states in order to fund the insolvent Obamacare mandate”. Brownback said, “The federal government is threatening to cut $1.6 billion of federal Medicaid funding affecting more than 400,000 Kansans in need unless Kansas pays millions of dollars in taxes to the federal government to support Obamacare”....

I’ve often found myself wondering about the bias I see at the Catholic News Service(CNS), which seems to gloss over many of the serious problems in the Church. Today, my friend Michael Hichborn at the Lepanto Institute has a story on CNS Director and Editor in Chief Tony Spence that may help shed some light on the bias of the USCCB’s official news and information service: Tony Spence has been the head of the Catholic News Service since 2004. Over the last few weeks, Spence has been publishing statements on his own twitter feed, identifying him as the head of CNS, speaking...

I was super excited to find out about a bunch of liberal state attorneys general aping the Obama administration’s use of government power to persecute their political enemies. This thrilling development is awesome because it gives us conservatives the opportunity to do the same to liberals. Yeah, if the new rule is that the majority in power uses its authority to persecute its opponents, then shouldn’t we conservatives do it too? Except only harder and more ruthlessly. Right now, you have attorneys general in places like New York and the Virgin Islands going after the heretics who dare dispute the...

We received disappointing news this week: Taxpayer funded abortions jumped more than 16 percent to a total of 3,957 in 2014, costing taxpayers $953,187 (Minnesota Department of Human Services latest figures). And guess which abortionist was responsible for virtually all of the increase? Planned Parenthood—no surprise. Abortion numbers have been trending down as more women in the state turn away from abortion. Since 2007, abortion numbers have decreased every year but one. Likewise, in only two of those years has the number of taxpayer funded abortions increased. But 2014 saw a bigger spike than has occurred since 2000. Just as...

David Daleiden is not a reporter. His grossly misleading, politically irresponsible videos purporting to implicate Planned Parenthood in illegal behavior make that clear. It's an insult to responsible journalism. The only question Attorney General Kamala Harris needs to answer for her investigators' raid of Daleiden's home Tuesday is: What took her so long?

Confronting critics who say she is conducting a “witch hunt,” the chairman of a special House panel investigating the supply of tissue from aborted babies to researchers said in an interview with The Daily Signal that the panel can’t do its job without understanding the roles of all those involved. “We know that it’s important that we act responsibly with each and every name,” Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., who leads the House investigation of the fetal tissue industry, told The Daily Signal in a phone interview. “But it is impossible for the panel to complete the investigation that we are...

A Nebraska audit revealed this week that Planned Parenthood appears to have illegally funded its abortion practices with federal tax dollars in 2015, according to a state news report. The Omaha World-Herald reports state auditor Charlie Janssen discovered that Planned Parenthood of the Heartland used at least $3,500 in tax dollars for physicians fees, staff salaries and pathology work related to abortions in Nebraska. Federal law prohibits the money, which comes from a federal family planning program, from being used for abortions. “It appears Planned Parenthood of the Heartland provided abortion services but billed those services to the state as...

The pro-abortion California attorney general’s office raided on Tuesday the home of the undercover investigator who exposed Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted babies’ body parts, according to the Center for Medical Progress. David Daleiden, the head of the Center for Medical Progress, has been a target of abortion activists and their political friends ever since he released the first undercover video last summer showing a top Planned Parenthood official discussing the sale of aborted babies’ body parts. Since then, CMP has released a dozen undercover videos of the abortion giant’s employees and partner research groups, exposing their horrendous baby body...
