Just before Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton faced off in their second presidential debate, then-National Intelligence Director James Clapper met in the White House with a small group of advisers to President Obama to hatch a plan to put out a first-of-its-kind intelligence report warning the voting public that "the Russian government" was interfering in the election by allegedly breaching the Clinton campaign’s email system. On Oct. 7, 2016 – just two days before the presidential debate between Trump and Clinton – Clapper issued the unprecedented intelligence advisory with Obama’s personal blessing. It seemed to lend credence to what the...

On Sunday, a synagogue in the largest Jewish neighborhood in Los Angeles hosted a small, privately advertised event for those interested in purchasing homes or second homes in Israel. “The Great Israeli Real Estate Event” at Adas Torah synagogue wasn’t political and it had nothing to do with the Gaza war. But within moments of its noon start time, it became the backdrop to the worst antisemitic violence in Los Angeles since an attack on Jewish diners at a restaurant in 2021. Over the course of several hours, with dozens of LAPD officers decked out in riot gear largely staying...

If Southern Utah residents were confused during a recent police manhunt for a double murder suspect, it wasn’t exactly their fault. They were given faulty information by police and media who chose to identify the 28 year old transgender-identified suspect as a woman rather than a biological male. The suspect, born Collin Bailey, is accused of shooting his parents Joseph and Gail Bailey to death in their Washington City, Utah home on June 18 and attempting to shoot his brother Cory through a door. Police issued a shelter-in-place order for residents in the Southern Utah community and official reports told...

One often hears in conservative media how the top folks at the DoJ, FBI, CIA, IRS, NSA, etc. may be corrupt traitors to the country and the Constitution but the ol’ rank and file are made up of honest, hardworking, patriotic Americans. To this I call bullsh*t. Out of hundreds of thousands of employees, how many whistleblowers -- i.e., truth tellers -- are there? How many opinion pieces and media appearances have these supposed patriots made? How many have refused to participate in the crimes being committed by these agencies against their fellow American citizens? Yes, that was a lonely...

The impending Presidential debate on Thursday is colliding with a recurring rhetorical problem: the Presidential debate moderators. Since the inception of televised presidential debates in 1960 with the debate between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, the problem of debate moderators has been persistent. In the academic ideal of debate, moderators would exert no argumentative influence upon the debate. Moderators would, as the term implies, mitigate the partisan excesses potential to such an event. This is a profound concern since presidential campaigns are exerting some of the most powerful ideological convictions of the nation. Presently, concerns are raised by the...

Remember when everyone would tell you once you had a degree, you’d be set for life? Turns out, they meant you’d be set for a lifetime of disappointment instead. Back in 2009, over 70% of recent high school grads attended college. Today, enrollment is down over 15% from its peak, with more students opting for trade jobs over office gigs. Not even cringey TikToks from the Big Four accounting firms can convince them otherwise…Career detour: In a recent survey, over half of Americans said they believe a college degree isn’t worth it. Many young people are taking their high school...

JJ Redick was named the new LA Lakers coach in an introductory news conference that wasn't a stranger to controversy on Monday. The former NBA player is now taking on a new challenge with the Californians as his first coaching experience at any level, but this journey might be off to an odd start. Businesswoman Halleemah Mash, who worked with Duke's basketball team, on Tuesday claimed that the only time she was called the N-word by a white man, Redick was the person who said it. I’ve only been called the N word to my face by a white man...

For the second year in a row, Vice President Kamala Harris sought out a T-ball interview on MSNBC to mark the anniversary of the demise of Roe v. Wade. Last year, it was Joy Reid, this year, it was Mika Brzezinski on Monday’s Morning Joe. In both cases, Harris was joined by pro-abortion advocates who helped paint a dystopian future. This year that included predictions that the women in your life will die if Donald Trump wins. Harris’s co-interviewee was Hadley Duvall, who is a pro-abortion activist who was raped when she was 12 by her stepfather. Brzezinski referenced her...

The home of the Carolina Panthers will be seeing an overhaul soon. Per Alex Zietlow of the Charlotte Observer, the Charlotte City Council approved a $650 million renovation plan for Bank of America Stadium on Monday by a vote of 7-3. Panthers owner David Tepper reacted to the news with a statement saying he's "proud" to remain in Charlotte for the foreseeable future: Per ESPN, the approval of the stadium renovation comes with an agreement that the Panthers will stay in Charlotte through 2045. Tepper, who has already invested $117 million in stadium upgrades, will make a payment of $150...

The notoriously tumultuous making-of story behind Steven Spielberg‘s hit Jaws and the writing of its best-selling source material by Peter Benchley are getting the documentary treatment. Timed to the 50th anniversary of the 1975 film, Nat Geo has greenlit Jaws @ 50 (working title), a doc feature that will focus on both the Spielberg film and the writing of the horror best-seller by Benchley. A summer 2025 release is planned on National Geographic and for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. Laurent Bouzereau is set to direct. The filmmaker just completed the nonfiction project Faye, centering on the career and legacy...

CNN — In November 1983, the US, Soviet Union and the rest of the world were teetering closer than ever on the edge of nuclear war. A NATO military exercise had spooked the Soviets, who thought the exercise was merely a cover for a real nuclear strike on the USSR, prompting them to ready their own nuclear forces. Who knew, then, that an ABC movie-of-the-week would play a significant role in potentially preventing nuclear war? “The Day After,” a two-hour epic following a few weeks in the lives of small-town Midwesterners before and after a nuclear strike, was one of...

A Bronx bodega worker was bashed in the head with a “sledgehammer” in a fight over a hookah – leaving her so battered she’s ashamed to let her children see her, she told The Post. Oralia Perez, 41, was working at A&D Deli Grocery on East 188th Street in Fordham Heights around 10:08 a.m. Saturday when a man and woman came in and demanded a refund for a $30 hookah, according to the victim and police. She recognized the couple as the same pair that allegedly stole $40 worth of items from the bodega two days earlier, Perez told The...

HANOI, Vietnam (AP) — Vietnamese automaker VinFast, for a short time the third-most valuable car company in the world, has a big problem: It just can’t sell enough cars. Idle factories bleed money and the company’s financial health is at stake. After finding the U.S. market a tough nut to crack, Vinfast is hoping its tiniest and cheapest car yet — a roughly 10-foot-long pure battery electric mini-SUV priced at $9,200 and called the VF3 — will become Vietnam’s “national car” and win over consumers in Asian markets. Designed specifically for the Vietnamese and other Asian markets, the VF3 is...

Because of course there’s this kind of drama in Big D … Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is reportedly not happy with the organization’s hierarchy, in particular with owner Jerry Jones for not respecting his leadership. According to a report from Go Long’s Tyler Dunne: “He’s doing it the best he can,” said a former Dallas personnel member recently. “Some of the people I’ve talked to have said that he’s getting fed up with it a little bit. It’s hard. I feel bad for [quarterback] Dak [Prescott]. I think Dak’s a really good quarterback who is capable of taking...

With polling consistently suggesting most Americans fear for the future of democracy depending on the winner of the 2024 presidential election, and that democracy tops concerns for single-issue voters, internal meeting notes from a Department of Homeland Security panel suggest the Biden administration fears the wrong kind of democracy. America First Legal, founded by former Trump White House adviser Stephen Miller, is dribbling out redacted "#DeepStateDiaries" handed over by DHS to resolve AFL's litigation alleging that last year's creation of the Homeland Intelligence Experts Group, also disbanded under the settlement, violated the Federal Advisory Committee Act because of its heavy...

CNN host Kasie Hunt cut off Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt Monday morning, and abruptly ended the interview as soon as Leavitt cited examples of CNN anchor Jack Tapper’s extreme bias against the presumptive Republican nominee for president. “You come on my show, you respect my colleagues,” Hunt later wrote on X. “I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on, as my track record clearly shows.” In response, Leavitt wrote: “You cut off my microphone for bringing up the debate moderator’s history of anti-Trump lies. This proved our point that President Trump will not be treated fairly on...
