Interrogators Think They Have A Wolf In Shepherd Clothing A GPS Device and $30,000 Raise a Few Eyebrows At a Desert Checkpoint "The suitcase, the money, the book, the GPS with the grid positions of U.S. troop movements. Sheepherders don't carry that stuff around" Twenty miles west of Samawah, Iraq -- Four Iraqis cruising the barren desert in a white Toyota pickup at noon, came across a U.S. military checkpoint set up here to catch spies helping coordinate sniper attacks on U.S. convoys. If the admin moderator needs to move this to a different section because this is my opinion, not a real editorial, that's fine. I just wanted to express my frustration at the failed leadership of Maryland's and also Virginia's Governors. They are hiding, it appears, instead of protecting the citizenry. I hope that the citizenry is contacting their elected officials, candidates and the President regarding the stalled Homeland Security Bill; basically, raising the roof on this matter. FAILED LEADERSHIP OF THE GOVERNORS SHOULD NOT GO UNCHALLENGED - especially when we are talking about THE WORST CRIME SPREE in my memory....

CARACAS, Venezuela, Aug 5 (Reuters) - A band of armed supporters of President Hugo Chavez's self-styled "revolution" has threatened opposition leaders and metropolitan police after claiming responsibility for a sniper attack Friday that wounded five people in a poor Caracas neighborhood. Wearing camouflage fatigues and hoods and brandishing automatic rifles, four members of the "Carapaica Revolutionary Group" told local newspapers they did not support the Chavez government, but rather followed the revolutionary "process" of the outspoken, left-wing leader. Chavez and other high-ranking officials on Monday suggested the reports were fabricated by the opposition hoping to destabilize his three-year-old rule....
