arch 3 is World Wildlife Day. It is a United Nations International Day to celebrate wild animals and plants on the planet and the contribution that they've made to our lives and the health of the earth. In northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, thousands of Marco Polo Argali sheep were recently spotted migrating across the Pamir Plateau. The species is second-class national protection status in China, and its gradually growing population hovers around 20,000 in Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County.

French gun owners are surrendering their weapons in record numbers at police collection points across the country as a round up of unlicensed firearms winds down. France is keen to limit the number of illegally owned firearms – as many as six million, authorities estimate – and the Macron government is offering an amnesty in an effort to limit their distribution. Rifles, handguns, ammunition, even knives and grenades, have been handed in at 300 collection points across the country since the start of the Ministry of Interior’s campaign on Nov. 25.

David Limbaugh, author of The Resurrected Jesus: The Church in the New Testament, said in an interview aired on Monday’s edition of the Breitbart News Daily podcast with Alex Marlow that gutless conservatives’ acceptance of leftist premises facilitates the “deliberate destruction” of America. “A lot of us are just sheep, even conservatives,” Limbaugh remarked. “We mouth these platitudes. We accept the premises, the unproven premises of climate change, for example, because we’re scared to death to challenge it, or Darwinism, or macroevolution.”

A bizarre spectacle greeted the folk of Shawinigan, Québec over the weekend. A shepherd could be seen leading a flock of creatures with farmyard bells swinging from their neck, filling the air with the sound of baaaaa and chewing on greens when they arrived at their pen. But it wasn't a flock of sheep that had come grazing around the streets of Québec, but a Toronto-based group performing an immersive art project called 'Les Moutons'. In the performance, actors dressed as sheep are led around the city by their shepherd, who takes them to a pen before 'shearing' them. There,...

Sheep herders in the U.S. West have banded together to sue their employers, accusing them of operating an illegal cartel that artificially suppresses their wages, according to court documents filed Wednesday in Nevada. The case could have implications for how antitrust laws are applied to labor markets, according to legal experts, as the Biden administration pushes for greater competition in every sector of the economy. The suit alleges that ranches coordinate through the Western Range Association (WRA), a ranching trade group, to suppress sheepherder wages and avoid competing for labor.

Gavin Loxton has more than 5,000 sheep at the high-country farm he runs in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand, so he said it wasn’t surprising that he didn’t notice when one of his lambs was missing about four years ago. But he definitely noticed when the sheep was found. After several years on the run, the wayward male Merino was discovered on April 14 hiding in an outcropping of rocks on Mount Edward — which has an elevation 6,765 feet — with almost double his weight in wool. Shrekapo, as he was nicknamed by residents of the Lake Tekapo township, had...

We yielded to irrational pandemic restrictions to get the next credential. Future leaders we aren’t. .... Harvard has required students to get vaccinated and boosted and test for Covid twice a week, hectored us to wear masks nearly everywhere, and banned students from several communal spaces, including dining halls ... More concerning than the administration’s heavy-handedness has been the zombielike response of the student body. I ask my friends, “Why do young, fully vaccinated students continue to tolerate these irrational Covid restrictions?” While many of my peers acknowledge the excess, they shrug it off. The prevailing mood on campus is...

I arrived at MSY last night, and listening to 1150 AM WJBO in Baton Rouge now. Just heard a rather profound and sincere apology / clarification from someone involved in the Salvation Army regarding their anti-white nonsense. On a scale of 1 to 10 as far as how well he addressed the wrongs of that racist bullshite, I would rate it a 6 at best. I am not asking anyone to change their minds, but wanted to know if y'all heard it?I am waiting for them to announce they have eliminated their Grand Poobah of Diversity and Inclusion before I drop...

Kim Taylor, 73, a retired nurse, was alone in a pen at Cultivate Care Farms feeding livestock when a sheep repeatedly rammed her. Police and medical workers responded shortly after 9 a.m. Taylor, who went into cardiac arrest, was rushed to UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital where she was pronounced dead. There were no witnesses to the incident. Cultivate Farms is a nonprofit farm that focuses on therapy, wellness and community outreach. The organization's website outlines its approach: "Through physical work and connection with the animals, clients gain insight into their own abilities for positive change within themselves and in relationships...

After advisers to FDA and CDC committees expressed concern about the lack of data on long-term risks before approving the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11, a survey finds only 27% of parents are eager to get the shots for their kids. The Kaiser Family Foundation survey found that 33% of parents say they will wait a while and see how the vaccine is working, and 30% say they will definitely not get the vaccine for their child. The rest are split among those who will get the shots if it's require and those who are undecided. Many prominent epidemiologists...

The majority of those who are considered “fully vaccinated” are still wearing masks the bulk of the time when outside their homes, a Yahoo! News/YouGov survey released this week found. As the Biden Administration and public health officials continue to push for mass vaccinations, originally pitching them as the way to return to pre-pandemic life, a majority of people, including a majority of the vaccinated, are still wearing masks “always” or “most of the time” when outside their home.

Editor’s Commentary: As we noted yesterday, shortages due to the failing global supply chain will make life increasingly difficult for Americans in the months ahead. But rising food and supply prices are not the only are of major concern. The energy crisis, which has been brewing for even longer than our supply chain woes, appears to be hitting its stride right at a time when millions of Americans will not have the means to address it.Winter is coming, which means heating fuels are going to be needed. But prices are already starting to climb on fossil fuel products as we’ve...

Only this time the inmates are Australians themselves. Australia is in a very dark place. The army has been drafted in to force people to stay in their homes, going door-to-door to check for compliance. Police helicopters circle overhead, threatening anyone in parks or public spaces with police action and fines; there is genuine fear over being caught outside without a permissible excuse. No one is allowed more than 5 kilometers from their home address, only one person per household may leave to purchase supplies once a day, and Sydney-siders are not permitted to speak to friends or stop to...

The arrests were the latest involving suspected critics of Hong Kong’s government that have raised fears about the shrinking space for dissent since Beijing imposed a national security law in June 2020 to put an end to pro-democracy protests in the semi-autonomous city. Police said one book, “Defenders of the Sheep Village,” was connected to the protests. In the story, wolves want to occupy the village and eat the sheep, who in turn use their horns to fight back. The second told the story of 12 sheep taken by wolves to the beasts’ village where they would be cooked, potentially...
