Fighting in the streets of San Fran between anti-Americans and onlookers....made it seem like many who support Bush and our mission took things into their own hands. Was anyone there or confirm the story??

I just heard KFBK announce that San Francisco protestors were blocking up all the traffic in San Francisco. Any Bay Area freepers who know what's going on there? Is it another "Crital Mass" party or is it worse? Anyone have photos?

<p>11:00 PST -- Waves of anti-war protesters made good on their promise to disrupt downtown San Francisco this morning, as they occupied intersections throughout the Financial District, South of Market and Civic Center, preventing buses and cars from navigating the streets.</p>

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco's United Nations Plaza is being elevated to a new level of embarrassment as an eyesore and a public health hazard. Nearly two years ago KRON 4 did a series of reports on the flithy conditions. The stories prompted action by the City. Mayor Willie Brown increased police patrols and had benches removed to deter loitering. Two years later the problems persist. While the UN in New York is trying to decide the fate of Iraq, here at the birthplace of the UN, San Francisco will be trying to decide the fate of the fountain...

<p>The bodies of two students from a San Francisco school group on an extended camping trip were found in a deep gorge Wednesday morning, the Monterey County sheriff's office said.</p>
<p>"We don't know if these are kids who slipped and fell or were killed," Sheriff Mike Kanalakis told the Salinas Californian. "There's lot of work going on right now to piece this together."</p>

The masses of lefties at the anti-America rally in SF could not get enough of the dozen or so counter protestors who occupied the high ground on the steps of city hall. I was one of them, along with my daughter, who's sign, "America's Enemies Thank You For Your Support" seemed to offend some people. The cops were behind us and we appeared to be protecting them from hordes of screaming, chanting, spitting leftists who were horrified by the very presence of people who didn't agree with them. A young Palestinian boy told us that he'd like to kill all...

<p>California's mess is a capital political crime that more than just tarnishes the Golden State.</p>
<p>The Sacramento gang has created a fiscal mess more than 20 times worse than anything Congress could manufacture.</p>
<p>California's budget deficit works out to more than $1,000 per resident and makes New York City look fiscally responsible.</p>
<p>California's deficit is 20 percent of state spending and a third of its operating budget. If every state worker were fired, California would still be at least $10 billion in the red.</p>

Just watched the Factor and the issue was the homeless in San FranCRISCO. The local Hotels have started a campaign to protest the waste of money and no results. They have an interesting website, complete with a "forum"(more like a guestbook), where you can chime in. website: http://wewantchange.com forum: http://wewantchange.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi

The Patriots Rally at the San Francisco anti-war protest on 10/26 was a resounding success. Despite the fact that we were a small group, we held our own when it came to contesting the peaceniks. We convened at noon at the foot of City Hall steps, where we were mostly alone for about an hour. The anti-war protesters were still trickling into the Civic Center Plaza and hadn’t yet made their way to our side of the street. But soon enough we were approached by a young man with dreadlocks and a mask covering half his face (terrorist/anarchist style), doing...

<p>Religious leaders are expected to convene on the steps of city hall in San Francisco today in silent protest over Proposition N, Supervisor Gavin Newsom's newest answer to the homeless debate.</p>
<p>Sponsored by the Religious Witness With Homeless People, a small group of leaders from different congregations will meet every Monday through Friday through October 25 to distribute literature and display a 6-foot-by-4-foot sign urging the community to vote "No on N.''</p>

Apparently under the color of 'diversity appreciation', a full blown campaign - paid for by the local United Way - will include public transit posters printed in English and Arabic declaring "We Are Not The Enemy" featuring the faces of a turbaned male, a mid-eastern appearing woman and others. This waste of public contributions to United Way was given attention by Barbara Simpson on her KSFO Radio program, Saturday. Barbara has an extensive news reporting/gathering track record in both the television radio media profession. She is also a columnist for WorldNetDaily. To add insult to injury, it seems the posters...

In a ceremony combining the oldest traditions afloat with the realities of a changed world, the U.S. Navy commissioned its newest warship, the destroyer McCampbell, on the San Francisco waterfront Saturday. The McCampbell took two years to build and has been running trials and training the crew for months, but it did not become an American warship until it was officially commissioned. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who had cracked a bottle of champagne across the McCampbell's bow at the Bath Iron Works in Maine last month, gave the order in San Francisco on Saturday: "Man our ship,"...

It's real low and has gone around the same path about 4 times now. Just curious.

<p>San Francisco -- Former Mexican braceros and their supporters held a rally at U.S. District Court and Wells Fargo Bank headquarters in San Francisco demanding the payment of wages earned almost 60 years ago. During World War II, the United States and Mexico agreed to withhold 10 percent of the wages of the farmworkers -- who were recruited to replace American workers fighting the war -- until they returned to Mexico. A vast majority, say the laborers, who filed a class-action lawsuit against the bank and the two governments to recover an estimated $500 million in wages and interest, never received the money promised to them.</p>

<p>The teenage girls arrived in California for the thrill of a lifetime: the Academy Awards and a chance to see their favorite stars up close. But in the two weeks since then, the two third-generation Palestinian refugees have become unexpected players in the wrenching drama unfolding back home.</p>
