A police chief claims that he and four other staff members quit after their ‘hostile’ black town manager gave them ‘crazy write-ups’ for speaking to the public while on duty, as she was fired from her job following the resignations. Ex-chief Josh Gibson of Police in Kenly, North Carolina, stepped down from his role after clashing with Justine Jones, the town manager, repeatedly since she took the post in June. Jones was fired Tuesday night, with Gibson now speaking out about their testy relationship. City Council officials voted 3-2 to oust Jones, during an emergency meeting that followed a month-long...

Mikhail S. Gorbachev, whose rise to power in the Soviet Union set in motion a series of revolutionary changes that transformed the map of Europe and ended the Cold War that had threatened the world with nuclear annihilation, has died in Moscow. [A classic New York Times eulogy. VERY long, but an excellent political history of the USSR from the 1930s to the late 1990s. No NYT pay wall. MSN.com publishes all of it.]

It isn’t as if we weren’t warned. Many people have observed for years now that the total exclusion of morality from the public square, and the refusal to declare that any behavior was wrong in itself, would lead to the normalization of all manner of abhorrent behavior. Such warnings seem almost quaint now, with drag queens in primary schools and toddlers being encouraged to undergo radical body mutilation. In this insane environment, it is no surprise whatsoever that the Left is now pushing to make pedophilia as normal as a walk in the park. The assault on traditional values is...

"And he will make clear...

On Friday, a man was arrested by Atlanta police after allegedly spray-painting swastikas on rainbow crosswalks in midtown. He has since been identified as 30-year-old Jonah Sampson. According to the City of Atlanta Police Department, Sampson is accused of defacing the rainbow crosswalks on two occasions, once on Wednesday and again on Friday. The crosswalks, which sit at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street, were installed following the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. As Fox News reports, a spokesman for Atlanta mayor Andre Dickens called the incident "disgusting," and applauded those who worked to remove the...

Following her humiliating defeat in Tuesday’s Wyoming primary elections, soon-to-be-former Rep. Liz Cheney gave one of the most comically narcissistic speeches by a politician in recent memory. Despite losing to Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman by more than 30 points, Cheney thought it was fitting not only to forecast a potential run for president in 2024 but to do so while comparing herself to former President Abraham Lincoln.

Eric Trump said a personal safe they claim was breached by a group of FBI agents in a raid on the former president’s Mar-a-Largo estate on Monday was empty. “To have 30 FBI agents, actually more than that, descend on Mar-a-Largo, give absolutely no notice, go through the gate, start ransacking an office, ransacking a closet, you know—they broke into a safe. He didn’t even have anything in the safe,” the younger Trump told Fox News Sean Hannity on Monday. Eric declared that the raid was conducted to see whether his father possessed any potential confidential documents from his time...

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that she believes former President Donald Trump “engaged in the most serious misconduct of any president in the history of our nation.”Cheney said. “I think the committee has produced and provided and gathered a tremendous man for information. We’re not finished yet. Certainly, it’s clear if you look at Judge Carter’s opinion. He believes that it’s more likely than not that President Trump committed at least two federal crimes.
