Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has vetoed a bill that would have added an audit requirement and egg-donor protections to the California stem cell program created by Proposition 71 in November's election. The measure, SB18, was sponsored by Sens. Deborah Ortiz, D-Sacramento, and George Runner, R-Lancaster (Los Angeles County). It was approved 28-0 in the Senate and 72-2 in the Assembly.
