A spokesperson for San Diego County District 5 Supervisor Jim Desmond told ABC 10News more than 2,000 migrants have been dropped off in the county this week. At the Iris Transit Center, migrants are getting their first taste of the United States. The spokesperson said 292 migrants were dropped off there by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Sunday Morning alone. California has been hit by a 5.1 magnitude earthquake as Hurricane Hilary hits LA and San Diego with 80mph winds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A controversial new ordinance came into force on Saturday in San Diego requiring landlords to compensate renters when their lease is terminated through no fault of their own. “This is a good step in the right direction,” said Rafael Bautista, director of the San Diego Tenants Union. The ordinance, which was brought forward by San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and Council President Sean Elo-Rivera gives tenants new protections that start on the first day of their lease.

A San Diego man claims he was ambushed and set on fire by a group of 'hate-filled' attackers after leaving a restaurant.
