The first Jewish candidate to get to the homestretch of a Democratic presidential primary is making it his business to move the party formally away from its support of Israel. At least to the degree that President Obama hasn’t already done so. Senator Sanders’ nominees to the Democratic Party’s platform committee include radical environmentalist, Bill McKibben; Native American activist, Deborah Parker; and muslim congressman Keith Ellison of Minnsota.
