Republican activists across Texas sued their state party in a Harris County court today to block what they call an attempt at next week's state GOP convention in Houston to minimize grassroots dissent. Represented by lawyer Gary Polland, a former Harris County Republican Party chairman, the group alleges that party leaders violated procedural state laws at past conventions and plan to do so again.
