Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher met with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who the congressman said denied that Russia was involved in sending him emails from the Democratic National Committee. WikiLeaks published emails from the Democratic National Committee, which led to the resignation of DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. “He reaffirmed his aggressive denial that the Russians had anything to do with the hacking of the DNC during the election," Rohrabacher said of Assange, the Orange County Register reported. Rohrabacher’s statements come despite the fact that U.S. intelligence authorities have said with “high confidence” that Russia interfered with the 2016 presidential...

California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher met with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange Wednesday in an effort to obtain information about the source of a leak of Democratic officials’ emails. Rohrabacher told The Daily Caller in an exclusive interview Thursday that Assange is hoping to leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he is currently in asylum, and that during the meeting they explored “what might be necessary to get him out.” The congressman told TheDC that “if [Assange] is going to give us a big favor, he would obviously have to be pardoned to leave the Ecuadorian embassy.” Assange took asylum...

Far-right blogger and provocateur Chuck C. Johnson said on Thursday that he helped arrange a highly unusual meeting between Orange County GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange this week. Rohrabacher said in a statement that he plans to bring information to President Trump from the three-hour meeting, which took place Wednesday in London at the Ecuadorian Embassy, where Assange has been living in asylum since 2012. He would not detail that information to The Times, but in an interview Thursday morning with the Daily Caller, Rohrabacher was more explicit, saying he and Assange talked about “what might...

I came across this despicable statement from Rep. Dana Rohrabacher earlier this evening: “We have recently seen an attack on Iran, and the Iranian government – the mullahs, I believe that Sunni forces have attacked them,” noted Rohrabacher before suggesting that the attack could be a “ratcheting up” of U.S. commitments against Iran. He then asked the panel, “Isn’t it a good thing for us to have the United States finally backing up Sunnis who will attack Hezbollah and the Shiite threat to us, isn’t that a good thing? And if so, maybe…this is a Trump strategy of actually supporting...

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Costa Mesa, said his idea to help pay for a border wall was well- received by President Donald Trump during a 45-minute meeting at the White House on Tuesday, April 4. “He was especially keen on my proposal to create a new visa program that would help finance the border wall and protect our country’s sovereign territory by charging wealthy foreigners to become citizens of the United States,” Rohrabacher said in an emailed statement. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) says that one of his staffers was knocked unconscious during a protest at his Huntington Beach, Calif., office on Tuesday. In a statement, Rohrabacher’s office said that the protesters were part of a nationwide movement calling themselves Indivisible, which has vowed to resist President Donald Trump’s agenda by trying to occupy Republican congressional offices. Kathleen Staunton, 71, who has managed Rohrabacher's office since his first term in 1989, apparently attempted to leave through the front door to go to the bathroom, when “a protester yanked the door open, causing her to fall and hit her head."...

Staunton was trying to exit through the front door of Rohrabacher’s office to visit a restroom when, according to Rohrabacher, a protester yanked the door open, causing her to fall and hit her head. The door also pushed over a 2-year-old child who was apparently brought along with the crowd, but she was not injured, the congressmen said. Staunton, who has managed Rohrabacher’s office since his first term in 1989, was treated by paramedics and taken to a local hospital, Rohrabacher said. ... “I am outraged beyond words that protesters who mobbed my Huntington Beach office violently knocked down my...

Limp-fisted Democratic Party opponents have not done it. Term limits he himself championed when first elected to Congress in 1988 have not done it. (He has been reelected every two years since.) And too-close associations with slimeballs like Mike Carona, Dave Garofalo, Jack Abramoff, Jeffrey Ray Nielsen, Joseph Medawar and even his felony fraudster wife Rhonda have not done it. No, the only way the Orange County congressional delegation is finally going to rid itself of Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Havana) is if Donald Trump nominates him for Secretary of State. Years ago, working at a daily newspaper, it was revealed...

At this point, it’s abundantly clear that the US is on the wrong side in the Mid-East. Washington has always resorted to covert operations and support for unsavory characters on the way to bringing about regime change in countries whose governments aren’t deemed conducive to American interests. That’s nothing new. Usually, however, there’s at least a semi-plausible argument to be made for why Washington feels the need to support one side over the other. In Syria, there’s no such argument.

Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA) argued that illegal immigration has had a “huge impact” on the politics and economics of California and “wears at the very foundation of our country” on Friday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.” McClintock agreed “completely” that massive illegal immigration was good for Democrats, adding “if you look at California’s demographics, we have had a net domestic outmigration of nearly three and a half million…the entire loss of that three and a half million, plus what population gains this state has had has been entirely babies and foreign immigration, much of that illegal, and that has had a huge...
