Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Costa Mesa, said his idea to help pay for a border wall was well- received by President Donald Trump during a 45-minute meeting at the White House on Tuesday, April 4.
“He was especially keen on my proposal to create a new visa program that would help finance the border wall and protect our country’s sovereign territory by charging wealthy foreigners to become citizens of the United States,” Rohrabacher said in an emailed statement. No additional details about the plan were available at press time.
Described as a “wide-ranging discussion on foreign and domestic issues” with Trump, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and strategist Steven Bannon, the meeting specifically included discussion of building partnerships with other countries “menaced” by “Islamist terrorism,” according to Rohrabacher’s statement....

I have never seen so many machinations to fund a $20B multi year project. This is just a slap in the face of Trump nationalist supporters. $20B spread out over 4 years is pocket change in DC.
Rohrabacher is NOT a member of the various parties and caucuses, yet he is among the most conservative long timers in the House.
He and a handful of others were Tea Party and Freedom Caucus long before those entities came into existence.
Simple tax or charge a fee to all sending money back home to mexico and a border crossing tax both ways
I don’t like Bannon out and Perry in. Perry was against any wall, was soft on illegals and flirted with amnesty. I fear the Liberals are winning the direction battle.

Why is this so hard to fund? What is a border wall but a 4 lane hi-way turned on its side?

We already have enough wealthy elites who think our population should be reduced (meaning the middle class) because they won't need us to drive their cars when computers take over.

Not sure what the President’s reasoning was that prompted this change. Perry is a first class dufus IMO. Still wondering what he is even doing in D.C. but certainly don’t want him back in Texas. Even though the Governor of Texas doesn’t have as much power as in other states, he has to bear primary responsibility for Texas having half of our population be illegal.

We need a wall because as soon as a DemonCrat gets elected they will be ordered to stand down. A wall is apolitical.
I love this. Maybe they could show IMAX movies on the wall and make sure the Mexicans’ payments have cleared in advance. It could be YUGE.
