Realville, as Rush often says, is where he lives. That’s a place without blinkers or rose-colored glasses. That’s actually where we all live, though some of us prefer to deny it. That is, until reality bites. Then our wishful thinking or willful ignorance dashes upon the hard rock of unforgiving reality. The crackup always smarts. Thus is the case with the 2016 presidential election. There’s Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. In other words, there’s Column A and Column B. That’s the choice. Column C is fairyland. Come November, tens of millions of voters will flock to the polls to choose...

"PROOF: @MegynKelly Caught Lying About Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s La Raza Membership to Bash @RealDonaldTrump" Fox News host Megyn Kelly was wrong when she claimed that the Trump hating judge was a member of a nonpartisan lawyer’s association. In fact the group — San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association — has repeatedly backed extreme anti-enforcement, pro-illegal immigrant speakers and causes, according to its website, Here she is interviewing Bill Bennett who incidentally has a history of being paid to shill for Common Core, something Donald Trump opposes. Caught in yet another attempt to smear Donald Trump, Kelly claimed that Trump hating...

New York’s Gabriel Sherman is reporting that in addition to being a ratings and financial failure, Megyn Kelly’s interview with Donald Trump has resulted in her losing most of the leverage she had in her upcoming contract negotiations. Fox executives were willing to consider 9 million viewers a success, but Kelly’s supposedly mainstream appeal didn’t translate to the parent network, and she only netted 4.8 million viewers. It was, as one Fox insider told Sherman, “not good for her at all.” In fact, her boss Roger Ailes was apparently so tickled by the fact that he would not have to...

Gabriel Sherman writes a column for the New York Magazine about the fallout to the terrible ratings from Megyn Kelly’s broadcast special premier, and how she has damaged her contract negotiating position with a poor result.Sherman is a good read for some facts surrounding Fox News Insider stuff, but his analysis generally misses the mark because he’s inside the liberal NYC bubble; this article is no exception. Example: Sherman asserts that Rupert Murdoch is now supportive of Donald Trump… um, NO – that’s laughable.Rupert “Open Borders†Murdoch who has spent millions supporting immigration reform, who has used his network...

Speculation abounds as Fox News talking head Andrea Tantaros is no longer appearing on air. In response to a query from TV Newser, Fox issued a terse statement: “Issues have arisen regarding Andrea’s contract, and Fox News Channel has determined it best that she take some time off. She is still under contract with the network.” That opens the question of what could have changed regarding her contract all of a sudden. The Examiner opens a few doors on what might (or might not) be at issue with Tantaros and the network: While not cited by FNC as a reason...

Andrea Tantaros won’t be on Fox News Channel for the time being. TVNewser got a tip earlier today regarding Tantaros. When we reached out to FNC, they sent us this statement: “Issues have arisen regarding Andrea’s contract, and Fox News Channel has determined it best that she take some time off. She is still under contract with the network.” Tantaros was last on Outnumbered on Monday. She got a shout-out Monday evening on The Five for her new book, Tied Up in Knots: How Getting What We Wanted Made Women Miserable. Tantaros was scheduled to call in to Bill Cunningham‘s...

Andrea Tantaros is the host of the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Andrea Tantaros Show” on Talk Radio Network and co-host of the second highest rated show on cable, “The Five,” weekdays at 5 p.m. ET on Fox News Channel. The Washington Times has called her “the most pragmatic personality on ‘The Five’… who has already had a lifetime of experience despite only being in her 30s. Andrea’s calm, yet reasoned personality mixed with a quick tongue and biting sense of humor make her a powerful presence.” The Andrea Tantaros Show is ranked 7th largest in the country and and...

There’s a lot of buzz these days about Andrea Tantaros, known to millions of viewers as a host of the Fox News show Outnumbered. However, the buzz has nothing to do with her new book. Tantaros, who was last seen on Outnumbered on Monday, is no longer appearing on Fox, and the network will only hint at the reason why. “Issues have arisen regarding Andrea’s contract, and Fox News Channel has determined it best that she take some time off. She is still under contract with the network,” Fox News said in a statement in reply to questions about Tantaros,...

div class="the-content">Andrea Tantaros, popular Fox News co-host of Outnumbered, will not be on the show for a little while. Here’s why…From BPR: There’s going to be a glaring absence on Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered” — at least for the time being. After TVNewser received a tip that Tantaros would be absent for a while, the publication reached out to the network, which replied that there were some contract issues that needed working out.“Issues have arisen regarding Andrea’s contract, and Fox News Channel has determined it best that she take some time off,” FNC wrote. “She is still under contract with the network.”...

Donald Trump’s criticisms of Megyn Kelly have been weak, sexist, thin-skinned. His decision to back out of Thursday night’s debate is childish and reflects a fear of having to debate his competitors on issues facing the country. All that said, this dispute is turning into a spectacle with two losers. Fox News unwisely sent out a statement yesterday designed to mock the Republican front-runner for his decision to launch a Twitter poll on whether he should participate in the debate. Here’s what that statement said: We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to...

Majorities of American voters think Republican front-runner Donald Trump lacks the knowledge, temperament, and the likeability to be an effective president. On the other hand, majorities feel Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Ted Cruz do possess those traits. Most voters believe Clinton (63 percent), Sanders (58 percent), and Cruz (55 percent) have the “knowledge” to serve effectively, according to a new Fox News national poll. In contrast, 60 percent say Trump doesn’t.

WOW! On Wednesday night Politico reported that Donald Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski will not be charged for a hoax assault on reporter Michelle Fields. She made it up. Unfortunately, a lot of Cruz supporters stood with the hoaxer Fields. Tonight Megyn Kelly blamed the Trump Campaign for Michelle Fields filing a fraudulent police report against Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski.

Donald Trump and the Fox News host Megyn Kelly met at Trump Tower on Wednesday morning, a person with knowledge of the matter told CNNMoney. The meeting was brokered by Fox News chairman Roger Ailes. An NBC reporter spotted Kelly entering Trump Tower shortly before noon. Representatives for Trump and Fox News had no immediate comment. The meeting raises the possibility of a Kelly-Trump interview sometime in the future. Trump's intense dislike of Kelly -- who he has called unfair, overrated and even "crazy" -- has been one of the subplots of his run for president. Trump has essentially said...

I invite FReepers to discuss what they know about Salem Media and Salem Cimmunications. From what I can find out, they are owned by the GOPe and in turn own Mark Levin, Beck and Erikson and probably Limbaugh. It is chilling to see our "heroes@ cheer on our disenfranchisement. The conservative treehouse is a small venue, but would appear to be on top of this issue.

At this point, whatever happens, the GOP’s chances of winning this election is at best 25%, if Cruz is the nominee. If Trump is the nominee, that falls to 3% at best. The problem is; Trump won’t win … and he won’t let himself lose. If he loses the nomination, I see two possibilities; 1) He immediately endorses his friend, Hillary Clinton. His promises are as genuine as a three dollar bill. 2)He waits until mid-October, when all the ballot papers are printed, and then he’ll endorse his friend, Hillary Clinton.
