A gun buyback event at two Minneapolis fire stations has been so popular Saturday that both stations are now closed. The city teamed up with Pillsbury United Communities for the gun buyback event. The event began at 10 a.m. Saturday and was supposed to run until 6 p.m. at Stations 14 and 17 in Minneapolis, but the Visa gift cards that were being handed out in exchange for the guns have run out. An estimated 150 guns were dropped off during the event, according to Minneapolis police.

The Battle of Long Island, also known as the Battle of Brooklyn and the Battle of Brooklyn Heights, fought on August 27, 1776, was the first major battle of the American Revolutionary War to take place after the United States declared its independence on July 4, 1776. It was a victory for the British Army and the beginning of a successful campaign that gave them control of the strategically important city of New York. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbsIdQt3E0A The best clips of the 1980 Debate between Reagan and loser president Jimmah Cartah! I think this illustrates the differences between capitalism and socialism and shows that Reagan is not to blame for the problems of the 80s but inherited the problems from the left. I wish there were more documentaries on how terrible things were in this country before Reagan took office. Sick of know nothing millennials and Generation X'ers and commie baby boomers who know nothing of how bad things really were and nothing about how things work posting lies on Youtube and elsewhere!

I was talking to an electronics supplier on the phone this morning and had to state the model number to the Sales Rep. As we all do, in order to clarify, we spell it out. When I came to a "D", I actually said, "D as in Donald". It came out so innocently that I stopped in mid-sentence and snickered. The Rep laughed too, when I said I must be watching too much election coverage. Amazingly, he responded, "We're getting a lot of that particular spelling for "D" lately, he's great isn't he?" What a surprise! Donald is becoming a...

Archaeologists unearthed the ruins of a synagogue near Mount TaborLimestone benches line the walls where worshippers would have sat It sits within a Jewish village thought to date back to the first century ADThe New Testament states Jesus visited village synagogues in Galilee An unusual rural ancient synagogue that dates back to shortly after the time of Jesus has been unearthed in Galilee. The rare find – a huge 29 feet long and 26 feet wide room with walls lined by limestone benches – promises to add weight to stories about Jesus in the Bible. Most synagogues dating from around...

The black nationalist terrorists of Black Lives Matter are about to get a huge injection of left-wing cash to help them kill more cops and burn more businesses to the ground. (My takedown of BLM appeared a few months ago in American Thinker.) Underwriting this mayhem are the Ford Foundation and Borealis Philanthropy which are creating something they call the Black-Led Movement Fund (BLMF), a six-year pooled donor campaign that seeks to generate $100 million for the Movement for Black Lives coalition.

I'm not delusional enough to think that the Big East realigned because I suggested it. I didn't even suggest adding Creighton and Butler. But in case somewhere out there IS reading: Here's a proposal for the next great realignment. First an explanation: The NCAA has rescinded the corrupt and stupid rule that a conference needs to have 12 teams in order to have a highly profitable football conference championship game. Also, the AAC is the big loser in the new playoff system; whereas most football conferences will make a LOT more money, the ACC will lose almost half of their...

In this video we look at the evils of unrestrained Democracy, mob rule and the dictatorship of 51% and the horrors that follow every time it is practiced. America is a constitutional republic not a Democracy. This video shows why our founders intended otherwise LIBERAL MYTH: Hitler and the nazis seized power without the consent of the German people. HISTORIC FACT: The German people in a series of elections, elected to the Reichstag representatives who were nazis. Their election enabled Hitler to become Chancellor and seize power. They had many chances to turn back and change their vote but they...

Lead researcher James Paton said G-PN would help to increase immune responses to pneumococcus because it kept the antigenic structure of protein surfaces on the bacterium. "Pneumococcus is a big deal in terms of disease and it is the biggest bacterial killer on the planet," he said. "There are currently similar wholesale vaccines being developed, which have used chemical killing but that is nowhere near as good. The fact that gamma radiation is being used to inactivate it makes it a better vaccine.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A Kansas City, Kan., family is devastated after two children died when someone opened fire on their home. One of the boys ran into his 12-year-old brother's room and snuggled up next to him, where he died. "He was going to change the world. They don't know what they took for this earth," said Jayson Ugwuh, Jayden's father. Jayden Ugwuh, 9, was an artist. "He can draw. He can draw you right now and it would look just like you, at nine years old," Ugwuh said. He was also a little rapper, a creative soul who...

Many are puzzled by the alliances between leftists, especially between the extreme ones that have become so prominent in today’s Democratic Party and the adherents of Islam who are bent on turning the world into one large caliphate. Given the subjugation of women in that part of the Islamic world which adheres to Shariah law, its putting to death of homosexuals and other practices (compared to the trendy approval of homosexual “marriage” in the leftist world in America) and other practices of Islam, such as enslavement, to many this alliance makes little sense. Those puzzled by this alliance need to...

“There is nothing more dangerous than a government of the many controlled by the few.”—Lawrence Lessig, Harvard law professor The U.S. government remains the greatest threat to our freedoms. The systemic violence being perpetrated by agents of the government has done more collective harm to the American people and our liberties than any single act of terror. More than terrorism, more than domestic extremism, more than gun violence and organized crime, the U.S. government has become a greater menace to the life, liberty and property of its citizens than any of the so-called dangers from which the government claims to...

Barack Obama appears to be a tormented man filled with resentment, anger, and disdain for anyone of an opinion or view other than his. He acts in the most hateful, spiteful, malevolent, vindictive ways in order to manipulate and maintain power and control over others. Perhaps, because, as a child, he grew up harboring an abiding bitterness toward the U.S. That was instilled in him by his family and mentors…it seems to have never left him. It is not the color of his skin that is a problem in America . Rather it is the blackness that fills his soul...

Blockchain technology is expected to change the way financial organizations conduct business with banks implementing distributed ledger technology (DLT) projects by 2017, according to the World Economic Forum. After 12 months of research which saw the WEF engage over 200 industry leaders and subject matter experts through interviews and multi-stakeholder workshops, the organization compiled a 130-page report on the impact distributed ledger technology (DLT), also known as blockchain, will have on the financial infrastructure’s future. WEF’s ‘The Future of Financial Infrastructure’ report found that ‘applications of DLT will differ by use case, each leveraging the technology in different ways for...
